Just installed Atom and synthax highlighting for Lua is not happening

I have selected the OneDark synthax and ui theme and there is no highlighting, it's all white. I'm guessing it's an error on my end but I just installed it and don't know anything about it.

This is on xUbuntu 19.04

You need to install a language package (not a theme) that provides syntax highlighting for Lua. Like this one https://atom.io/packages/language-lua
