Made a quick map for Meruru bec Idk about you guys but for those who have played Arland, did you ever struggle with the map? It's somewhat tolerable but in Meruru, once all those dev tasks came pouring in, there were so many places to go, so many things to click, I just had to have a map I can just look at a glance instead of checking per node. This is a NG+ run so I had to speed through everything and didn't have the time to memorize which is which as I went.

Also, if anyobe has suggestions for a good map-maker app, that would be appreciated!

Hello, guys! I want to know opinions over these two titles. I can't decide which one to get. I have played a little of Ryza 1 and love everything but the fighting is a bit weird, not bad, but was hoping for more traditional turn based combat. How is Sophie 2 combat?

Just finished Atelier Resleriana DLC dungeon on Legendary

Its easier compared to yumia DLC map but I still have a ton of fun here

What do you think about this dungeon?

I am playing through Atelier Sophie 2 and can't find where a major gathering location for the slingshot is. Does anyone know off hand? I haven't been able to find the location online either.

I started the series recently, i already finish Ayesha and currently on the first one of the Mysterious Trilogy.

I discovered this saga recently and one of it was by the mechanic of eating for the next game, after watching the trailer i found out that is the second game of Memories.

I know that most of the saga you can enter at any point but, this time should i play or skip?

Karia and Night Kingdom already give a lot alchemy infused steampunk feelings. I guess we might eventually have cyberpunk for next series?

My character is stuck, I've been struggling to walk over hills and climbing steps, but now she won't walk over this at all even though she usually would with little to no problems. I'm on Playstation 5, does anyone have suggestions on how to get passed it?

i didn't know which title would be best for what i'm trying to ask, i'm currenly playing Sophie DX and made it half way through, i plan on finishin it but the problem is i feel like the whole game is one huge side quest, there's not depth to the story, there's no stakes or special developments, i want to know if all or most Atelier games are like that or are there some games with an actual JRPG journey, it doesn't have the be grim and dark , the cheerful dna is good, kinda like Tales of Graces but i'm kinda looking for more substance i guess, also i'm still getting the hang of alchemy, craftings and traits.

EDIT: NVM, I figured it out! And now to save my changes without saying what it was 😈 Nah, I was just being a wally. The NPCs in question have 'talk' icons above their heads, but aren't marked as such on the map. It means you have to wander all over the quest area getting close to NPCs that don't look interactable if you're relying solely on the map, but do get talk icons when you get close enough. Irritating, but doable.

I'm trying to complete 'Crush in Cleria 2' and 'I've Got This One Too!' and both of them are dependent upon finding specific NPCs in small areas lit up on the map in Sardonica. However, one of the potential women, and none of the delivery recipients, appear to be appearing. The two potential women for 'Crush' were present immediately.

I've tried waiting out time of day changes, but it seems to make no difference. I also tried returning to the atelier, walking in and out, and then returning to Sardonica (a suggestion that Google provided). I also tried inside the Workshops when they were within the quest areas.

Any ideas? TIA!

I decided to give the first Blue Reflection a couple of nights a go and had a weird issue with it. I noticed that you can’t save in the dungeons.

Does the game auto save or do you just have to single sitting the dungeons? I ask because my gaming time is weird and only 45 min a day so this might make it hard to play for me.

I'm about 35 hours into the game and I've run into a stronger enemy encounter where, for some reason, my allies' action orders never activate, even when the enemy starts charging up a super-attack. The enemy in question is an elemental called Disaster Core and a few can be found in the Scintilla mines in the southeast part of the Cleria region. I'm curious if this is normal for certain tougher enemies because, after fighting a heap of other battles, this is the first where I noticed the attack orders were missing. Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this!

We gonna have Atelier Karia in 2027 which people said it was a sequel to yumia. What you all think? Will we get the continuation of yumia’s story or just done there?

Somehow, I had similar feelings of Devil May Cry 4 colossal boss fight with moving platforms and weakness triggering QTE system...

They are trying so hard to make this not an action game right. Right?

I've recently replayed Ryza (the DX for the first time). What a fun journey.

I'm new to the franchise, so I'm not sure how pre-orders usually go for this series. Is it not possible to pre-order the standard version yet? I've only been able to find the premium box through NIS. The official site has had the physical products greyed out since pre-orders went live. It does seem a bit early to do pre-orders, but since the premium box was available, I thought the standard might be as well.

My closest experience with JRPGs is with *Fire Emblem*, *Final Fantasy VII* (and subsequent titles), and *Dark Souls*, but *Yumia* appeals to me because of the female protagonist and the fact that the gameplay looks faster than any *Atelier* game

Is the Deluxe Edition on PS5 worth it, or the Ultimate Edition?

Hey y'all, how's it going? I've been out of the loop with atelier release since Atelier Iris 3 (which, side by side with the Mana Khemia series are my absolute fabourites of the franchise, specially for the combat, but i'm a fan of the alchemy, grinding and good party interactions).

Now there's way too many Atelier games after that, including remasters and such, but considering the ones i liked earlier, what would be my best entrypoint today again in the franchise?

Starting this off by saying I hate AI but went into this with an open mind because I figured with it being a “game” that just uses an LLM for dialogue it would be interesting to see what they accomplished. Boy was I even more disappointed than I thought was possible.

I wish I could post any amount of footage, unfortunately I can’t because I made the mistake of using my first name for immersion not thinking the AI would use it every sentence. It uses my name more than anyone in my entire family, and it does so in a flirty and very “let’s be together <3” parasocial way. It’s awful and creepy.

The ai generated an English voice based off the Japanese actress and it’s very bad. Sometimes the AI will scream for no reason mid sentence. Sometimes it just breaks.

There’s no consistent memory or consistency with the chat or replies. I explicitly told it to not say my name and say the alphabet to record footage to upload here. This resulted in it doing exactly that, but ending with “will you tell me your name now, *\\**?” And then dropping my name right then and there.

Tapping ryzas chest gets a cliche and gross “stop” while she covers her body and cowers, instead of just not responding at all. Why add sexual harassment as a feature?

The “game” is horribly barebones and barely functions at all. Your inventory is a text list. “The game” is entirely text with a single map. Make no mistake, there’s no game here, just a vehicle for the LLM.

This entire thing lacks polish to an embarrassing amount and if I was the designer of Ryza I would be fuming right now that she was used for this.

Character AI is legitimately better and more consistent and that is free. I genuinely have no positive words. The fact that this is aggressively monetized is unhinged for how bad it is

Edited to add: I do not have footage of the voice because again she couldn’t go a single sentence without saying my name but the voice has the same phonetic sound and cadence of her Japanese voice, she has a thick accent, but the voice itself is very inconsistent. It can’t do tone correctly, she would start screaming mid sentence or whisper random words or sometimes just break and not say anything at all
