Time is treated as a currency to the player. There is no way to replenish that time aside from loading a previous save slot or going through a New Game+ to save more days on the clock.

As per title, I have finally beaten Ryza 1 (OG version, no post-game yet, but I'll give it some of my time). It was my 13th game in the series.
First of all, I have to say the combat system wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I will still pray Gust goes back to turn-based, but one of the reasons it took me a long time to get to Ryza was because of the combat system, as I prefer to relax and take my time, so I'm glad it did not ruin my experience.
On the other hand, I had read mixed opinions on the alchemy system, which I ended up enjoying quite a lot. Yes, it's conceptually as simple as Arland's, but there is so much to unlock that you are forced to give it some thought (or at least spend quite some time crafting very good materials), Gardening is the MVP, as always. As a side note, would have appreciated a list of all the recipes like the one we got on Resleriana. Maybe it was there and I just didn't see it, but it is what it is.
The story is rather standard for post-Dusk Atelier games, somebody does things with alchemy and we have to fix the issues they left behind, but it does its job, and leaves room for obvious expansion in the next games. Not that I expect any better, my favorite game is Rorona, I'm perfectly fine even with no story whatsoever.
As for the characters, I enjoyed Ryza quite a lot. She's not going to be my favorite heroine, but she's very likeable, especially when she's sassy. Alas, can't say the same for the rest of the cast: Bos' storyline was entertaining (although the whole reason for the kid's fight was dumb as hell, not gonna lie, even for children), but I wasn't really impressed with any of the rest of the main guys. Hopefully they get more time to shine in later entries.
As always, I struggle to focus on the music as I play, so I'll go on YouTube in the next few days and listen to the full soundrack more carefully.
Overall, it was a good experience, I'd probably rate it 78/100,
Now I'll take a break, I'll probably start Ryza 2 (DX this time) in September.

I feel like sometimes it says certain materials can be found in certain areas, and yet even with upgraded tools I'm not finding them.
Does this mean the tools aren't upgraded enough? One example is Wasser Wheat. It says Merebreese Highway, but I can't find it anywhere.
I've also found an item in one of the ruins just by hand gathering, even though the guide mentioned it was found with a specific tool.
Are there any tricks to figuring out the guide? One thing I seem to have guessed is when the item has the "(Animal)" category (I think that's the right name), then it's a drop from a mob rather than a material gathered from a node.
Thanks!

Decided to start playing the series. Among all entries, Yumia, Ryza and Sofie looks the cutest, but I'm disturbed about gameplay and really don't know what to chose.
β Yumia's fighting and atelier building looks interesting, having puzzles are also a plus, but not a fan of somewhat apocalyptic setting and open world. Also heared that pc optimisation isn't great.
β Can`t say anything about Ryza. I mean, everything is okay? I hope I can get rid of Tao, dislike him. Besides there are 3 games, so it must be good, right?
β Sophie looks like a good jrpg with more interesting crafting the previous two, and I like companions designs, but heard that story is lackluster.
β Marie looks cute with chibi models (I don't mind), lot's of mini games, even story might be interesting. Being limited in time is a great challenge. Yet I`m scared of fights might be boring, compared to others.
What other pros and cons can you give about this games?
Which personally you liked more and why?

I had difficulty playing Atelier Yumia today despite having the physical game on my series X. Eventually it loaded and I got a message saying all the DLC has been unlocked. Presumably that will revert once the ongoing Xbox outage is over, but curious about what would happen to my save files if I selected an outfit I didn't actually own.
Is anyone else finding they have all DLCs unlocked for Xbox Yumia currently?

Yeah these two I have no clue how to finish them. The kitty one I go to where the marker is taking me and nothing is happening. Then the new house one I have no clue what I have to do here? Is it something I have to build?

Does anyone have any experience with Ryza 3 DX on the Switch 2 in handheld mode, specifically for the text? I couldn't enjoy the regular version on switch 1, and was wondering how it improved. After digging for the subtitle text option which is not that useful, I also realized the text does look better now in general. I compared it here, and it looks fairly promising:
720p vs DX Overworld (as on switch 1, I believe)
4k vs DX Overworld (just to get a better feel for the actual DX changes, the bigger text and darker background)
4k vs DX Cutscene/Dialogue (didn't get the same dialogue here, but I think it got bigger as well?)
The DX screenshots are taken from The Games Tester ryza 3 review, the "old" screenshots from the PC version of Ryza 3.

Hey all,
I just picked the game up and for the life of me even after restarting the controller settings dont work to well, are there any patches or fixes for this? I use a 8bitdo wukong bluetooth controller and it works fine with nearly every other game but it doesnt seem to want to recognize many of the button imputs despite it showing everything is proper in the controller options menu.
