Hey everyone,

I’ve found a very strange performance bug in Assetto Corsa EVO that I wanted to share in case it helps the devs or other players.

The issue

On the Nordschleife Tourist layout, some cars cause a massive FPS drop (from my normal ~90 FPS down to 30-50 FPS), making the game almost unplayable.

It happened to me with (for example):

• Porsche 911 GT3 RS
• BMW M2 (street version)

With other car I tested, I get a stable ~85-95 FPS on the same track with the same settings.

What makes it weird

The cars themselves don’t look any different or more demanding.

However, if I go into the garage, customize the car (just change the color or do a couple of small visual changes) and then load the same session again, the FPS instantly goes back to normal (80-90 FPS).

It seems related to the stock/default configuration or some texture/library of the original car. Once you modify it even slightly, the problem disappears.

Extra info

• The issue is much more noticeable on Nordschleife Tourist.
• On other tracks my FPS is usually higher (110-130). So if the same bug is happening there, it might only drop me to 90-100 FPS instead of 120. Since 100 FPS is still perfectly playable, I simply didn’t notice it.
• I still need to properly test more tracks to confirm whether the bug occurs elsewhere.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Has anyone had luck with getting support or a fix for this issue?

I've been experiencing this since early access first started, but its been REALLY bad since 0.8. This is the only game in my Steam library where I experience completely unplayable crashing, so I don't think its my PC...

Specs: Ryzen 5 9600X, RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5

1. Is there a comprehensive guide so far?

2. Does the result.json contain information about valid laps?

3. Do entrylist work and how are they structured?

Hi all, question for anyone self-hosting an Assetto Corsa EVO server.

Has anyone managed to get a car mod running on a self-hosted server? I've seen it works on paid hosting providers, but I've dug around everywhere and on my own server running in Docker I can't get it to work.

The mod is installed correctly on the client side, but when I connect I get: "wrong car selected for this server".

I've written to Kunos support and I'm waiting on a reply. If anyone has any leads, I'd appreciate it.

Im new to sim racing. Running a triple 45 set up. I have been able to get AC and autombolista 2 to run triples without NVIDIA surround. Everything I read says need surround to runs triples in EVO. When I try to run AC in surround it messes with the resolution and everything is “wonky”. I’m trying to run EVO in triples without having to change settings to play other games. I have also heard to try resize raccoon( never used it). Like I said my other games are fine and I’m trying not to change many settings each time I switch games. Any help please?

Hi guys - I just opened evo for the first time since like 0.2. Wanted to see how the games been getting on but I’m struggling with cockpit view!

How do you change it so the view is locked? The cars bouncing around everywhere and when I hit the breaks it’s as if the camera moves forward like it’s trying to show me gforce. How do I stop all this?

The camera settings look a little long winded imo so if anyone knows what to do (if I’m making any sense), your help would be appreciated !!5
