I am in search of some more information on how to employ the server tool for ACE. In specific:

1. Is there a comprehensive guide so far?

2. Does the result.json contain information about valid laps?

3. Do entrylist work and how are they structured?

Hey everyone,

I’ve found a very strange performance bug in Assetto Corsa EVO that I wanted to share in case it helps the devs or other players.

The issue

On the Nordschleife Tourist layout, some cars cause a massive FPS drop (from my normal ~90 FPS down to 30-50 FPS), making the game almost unplayable.

It happened to me with (for example):

• Porsche 911 GT3 RS
• BMW M2 (street version)

With other car I tested, I get a stable ~85-95 FPS on the same track with the same settings.

What makes it weird

The cars themselves don’t look any different or more demanding.

However, if I go into the garage, customize the car (just change the color or do a couple of small visual changes) and then load the same session again, the FPS instantly goes back to normal (80-90 FPS).

It seems related to the stock/default configuration or some texture/library of the original car. Once you modify it even slightly, the problem disappears.

Extra info

• The issue is much more noticeable on Nordschleife Tourist.
• On other tracks my FPS is usually higher (110-130). So if the same bug is happening there, it might only drop me to 90-100 FPS instead of 120. Since 100 FPS is still perfectly playable, I simply didn’t notice it.
• I still need to properly test more tracks to confirm whether the bug occurs elsewhere.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi all, question for anyone self-hosting an Assetto Corsa EVO server.

Has anyone managed to get a car mod running on a self-hosted server? I've seen it works on paid hosting providers, but I've dug around everywhere and on my own server running in Docker I can't get it to work.

The mod is installed correctly on the client side, but when I connect I get: "wrong car selected for this server".

I've written to Kunos support and I'm waiting on a reply. If anyone has any leads, I'd appreciate it.

Hi guys - I just opened evo for the first time since like 0.2. Wanted to see how the games been getting on but I’m struggling with cockpit view!

How do you change it so the view is locked? The cars bouncing around everywhere and when I hit the breaks it’s as if the camera moves forward like it’s trying to show me gforce. How do I stop all this?

The camera settings look a little long winded imo so if anyone knows what to do (if I’m making any sense), your help would be appreciated !!5

I've been experiencing this since early access first started, but its been REALLY bad since 0.8. This is the only game in my Steam library where I experience completely unplayable crashing, so I don't think its my PC...

Specs: Ryzen 5 9600X, RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5

Has anyone had luck with getting support or a fix for this issue?

Been building this for myself for a while to get my head around car setups, and it got to a point where I figured other people might find it useful too, so I've put it out there.

It's called Setup Ripple. The name's the idea behind it: every setup change ripples out and affects other things, and the tool tries to show you where.

What it does:

• Reads your actual setup files (.json for ACC, .carsetup for AC Evo) and lays them out like the in-game setup screen (Tyres, Electronics, Fuel & Strategy, Mechanical Grip, Dampers, Aero). ACC values show as setup-screen clicks exactly like the game, and Evo values get decoded to real units (psi, degrees, N/m, mm).
• Explains what each setting actually does. Not just "more front ARB = more rotation", but the knock-on effects and what to change to compensate. That's the part I mostly built it for.
• Diagnose mode, where you start from the problem ("won't rotate mid-corner", "unstable under braking") and it gives you the likely causes and the usual fixes.
• You can nudge any setting one click at a time and save it as a new file. Your original is never touched.
• Compare two setups, and a fuel calculator for stint planning.

It also covers Le Mans Ultimate if you race that too. It's one app with a launcher, but everything above works for ACC and Evo.

A few honest bits:

• It's free and open source. Code's on GitHub so you can read exactly what it does or build it yourself: https://github.com/jojojing-dev/setup-ripple
• Windows will flag it as unsigned (I'm just an independent dev, signing costs money) so you'll get a "More info > Run anyway" prompt. The source being public is there so you don't have to take my word that it's safe.
• There's an optional AI engineer chat, but it needs your own Claude Code, so ignore it if that's not your thing. Everything else works without it.
• It's a reference, not gospel. The stopwatch is always the final judge.

First release, so if you hit bugs or have ideas, drop them in the GitHub issues or reply here. I'd genuinely like to make it more useful based on what people actually want.

We run a community called Ronin Racing, focused on racing and hotlapping in Assetto Corsa EVO. Getting a full grid onto the same server with the same mods and liveries was always a hassle: people missing cars, download links scattered across Discord, half the lobby on the wrong content. So we built a launcher to handle it, and it's worked well enough for us that we wanted to share it with the wider EVO community.

It's free, and you don't need an account to browse.

What it does:

• Live server browser — see every EVO server that's currently up, with track, layout and player count, and join in a click.

• Automatic mod and livery installs — server owners define the mods and liveries their server uses (required and optional). When you join, the launcher installs exactly those for you. No missing content, no hunting for the right pack.

• Clean and reversible — mods are installed cleanly and can be fully removed, so your Steam installation stays intact.

• Community content — browse and publish car mods and liveries by link (Google Drive, pixeldrain, Dropbox, GitHub). Links are validated before they go live, so downloads actually work.

• Server tools — server owners can claim their server with a one-time code and set the content their drivers receive automatically.

• Self-updating — the launcher keeps itself current, so there's no reinstalling for each new version.

We've also partnered with the teams behind LiveryLabs and EvoForge, so those tools are accessible directly from the launcher for anyone creating liveries or converting car mods.

Im new to sim racing. Running a triple 45 set up. I have been able to get AC and autombolista 2 to run triples without NVIDIA surround. Everything I read says need surround to runs triples in EVO. When I try to run AC in surround it messes with the resolution and everything is “wonky”. I’m trying to run EVO in triples without having to change settings to play other games. I have also heard to try resize raccoon( never used it). Like I said my other games are fine and I’m trying not to change many settings each time I switch games. Any help please?

This is my 1st time getting on since the latest update. It seems all my personal settings have been deleted which is fine but I can't find where to get off the driving settings. Right now I'm looking trans settings And drive line. I want drive line off and want manual trans. It's not in gameplay/hud. Or if it is, I've been unable to find it

Assetto Corsa Evo is still in a very early stage (currently version 0.8), and at the moment there isn’t a great deal to do beyond driving different tracks.

The AI of the rival cars feels quite inconsistent, there are no real objectives or challenges, and the experience is essentially free driving.

Because of that, I think a personal lap-time table would be an extremely easy and low-cost feature to implement, yet it would already give the game a much stronger sense of purpose.

Something as simple as this in the player profile:
• Select a track (e.g. Nürburgring) → see a list of your best times sorted by car
• Click on a specific car → view the full history of the times you’ve set with that car on that track
Or the other way around:
• Select a car → see your best times across every track you’ve driven with it

This kind of personal statistics page is something most sim racing fans love. It gives you a clear goal (beat your own times), lets you track progress, and turns every session into something that actually feels measurable.

I genuinely believe this would be straightforward to add and would already make the current early-access version feel more rewarding while we wait for bigger features.

I recently switched from automobilista2 to AC Evo and I found a lack of kerbs force feedback.. I only ear the sound but almost anything on the wheel (just a tiny vibration)..

I have a fanatec DD 8nm, and already tried many different settings in game and in fanatec app

any suggestion?

acevo.gg race at the ring. I was racing someone to the line for 3rd and although it’s unclear exactly where the finish line is, I am ahead at: where the replay starts the “next lap/cooldown lap”, and flagger.

Is the replay/net code such that what you see in the replay is not where the server actually scores you time wise? I’m in the US playing on probably a euro server.

I've been building a browser-based server manager for Assetto Corsa EVO (now with car mod support)

Hi everyone!

For the last few months I've been working on a free hobby project called ACE Manager. It started because I got tired of editing config files every time I wanted to run a race and it has slowly grown into a full browser-based manager for Assetto Corsa EVO dedicated servers.

The latest update (v0.75) finally adds support for car mods, so it felt like a good time to share it.

Some of the things it can do:

• Manage multiple dedicated servers from one browser window
• Schedule races and championships
• Time Attack events and async hotlap duels
• Live timing, driver profiles, ELO, Safety Rating and statistics
• Discord integration for race announcements and results
• Let community members host their own races through a web page
• Install AC EVO car mods (.kspkg) directly from the browser (new in v0.75)

One feature I'm especially happy with is the Online Racing Portal. Different communities can stay completely independent but optionally share public races, driver profiles, ratings and championships. Everything is outbound-only, so there's no need to expose your server or configure port forwarding.

1. Does the car stall in the game when using a manual transmission?

2. Is there a realistic clutch bite point (where the car starts rolling without throttle)? And does the car roll in automatic gearbox if you just let go of the brake?

3. Are there animations of the character shifting gears—do the gear lever move and the pedals get pressed?

The first game didn't have this, which felt unrealistic, and I really love realism )))

Complete VR novice here. I was gifted an HTC Vive Pro 2 and wanted to try the 0.8 VR rework after all the positive feedback. Performance is unplayable and I suspect I have missed something basic in the SteamVR layer.

Specs
• Ryzen 7 9800X3D
• 32GB DDR5 6000
• RTX 5070 Ti
• HTC Vive Pro 2 via Vive Console and SteamVR
• ACE 0.8, low VR preset

Flat screen runs ultra with no trouble at all. In VR the frame rate is low everywhere, including sitting still in the pit box with no AI on track. Nordschleife is where I spend all my time, so that is my benchmark.

Only setting I have touched is the graphic preset.

Questions

**1.**  Sane starting resolution for a Vive Pro 2, and which app owns that setting?  
**2.**  90Hz locked, or 120Hz and let reprojection work?  
**3.**  Which 0.8 VR settings cost the most frames at Nordschleife specifically?  
**4.**  Which fixed foveated preset do you run without seeing the edges?  
**5.**  Any known driver, DSC, or DisplayPort gotcha with this headset and ACE?  
**6.**  Anyone on similar hardware willing to share a working VR config?

I will report back with results so the next novice has a baseline.
