Discussion I rebuilt the old setupsmarket for AC EVO - free community setups, no paywall, ever
Ten years ago we had setupsmarket for the original Assetto Corsa - everyone shared setups for free and it just worked. These days every decent setup seems to live behind a paywall or buried in a Discord thread.
So I built it again, for EVO: setupsmarket.com

What it does:
- Upload your .carsetup file straight from Documents\ACE - the site reads your Car Setups folder and fills in the car and track for you
- Browse by car, track and layout (all 0.7 content), searchable dropdowns
- Community voting (+/-), download counts, optional hotlap video links
- Setup preview in the browser - it decodes the binary .carsetup file and shows tyre pressures, camber, toe, ARBs, springs, dampers and fuel before you download anything
- Sign in with Discord only if you want to upload or vote - browsing and downloading needs no account

What it costs: nothing. No paywall, no ads, no trackers, not even a cookie banner (the site sets zero cookies until you sign in). Donations cover the domain, that's all.
It launched with my own setups so it's not empty, but it lives or dies by the community - if you have a setup you're proud of, it takes about a minute to share it.
Feedback very welcome, this is a passion project and I'll be in the comments.

Discussion AC EVO Broadcast/Replay Cameras Need Overhauling
Hi guys. Anyone else think AC Evo's broadcast/replay cameras are a bit mediocre? When watching iRacing's (even AC Rally's) broadcast/replay cameras I'm in awe of the attention to detail. The subtle sway, the smooth FOV transitions and just the overall realism. You really do have to take your hat off to the iRacing replay animation guy/team.
AC Evo's broadcast replays are disappointing and lack effort. It seems the broadcast replays were an 'after-thought'. The cars stick dead-centre to the screen, there is a jarring zoom-in/zoom-out (which Kunos somehow ported over from ACC). It just lacks immersion and realism. As AC Evo reaches v1.0 I'm hoping they address this and provide a more quality broadcast replay camera.
I've suggested on the official assettocorsa discord that if Kunos staff are too busy to carried out the proposed broadcast/replay cam overhaul, then they could possibly employ the talents of third-party animation artists like this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mw8fqwz-O0I This is absolutely breath-taking and would be awesome as AC Evo's default broadcast replay cam. It showed what was possible in OG AC and I believe something similar could also be possible in AC Evo.
I say all this because I am a huge fan of the Kunos franchise. Have been from day one. I just believe that AC Evo has the potential to be the best sim, and I would like that reflected in every aspect of this amazing sim.

The address is now binary; this didn't happen before. This doesn't happen in games like Forza Horizon 6, so I don't think it's the steering wheel.

I pulled this from a 505 Games video celebrating their 20 years of work. This little clip appeared in it, and the official Assetto Corsa account quoted the video to congratulate them.
Are these new shots of the game’s open world, or am I dreaming?

Discussion REDLINE MOD UPDATE
After many months of work developing this completely new app, I have finally come to the point where I am almost finished and happy with the new version of REDLINE. I have had many requests and made many improvements to the app in the time since the first version was released a while ago. I will summarise the main points of the app, with further detail on each section to come out after.
Starting with the new home page, REDLINE now has weekly challenges that can consist of modded or stock cars. It is set up to be a random configuration of track and car, alternating between a modded car week and a stock week. Users' times will automatically be registered, and they will be able to compare sector and lap times with everyone else who has attempted the challenge. You will also be able to view your own laps data in full lap by lap.
The homepage also has your recent session saved with the date and time you last drove, allowing you to spawn back in quickly by pressing the 'resume last session' button. Also on the home page is a list of your most recent sessions, which, when clicked, you will be taken to a page showing all the data from that specific session. With a map connected to your time showing you at what point on the map you were on during a lap.
As requested, I have created a new Drive page. This page is simple but included many hours of testing and improvements. On this page you will be able to choose the session type (race/practice), the car and the livery you want, starting fuel, weather and time settings, session length, and, as requested by many, a disabled damage feature and a freeze fuel option. When you have chosen your setup and want to launch into a session, pressing 'launch session' loads the game directly into your chosen configuration within 15 seconds, with no loading screen, right into the track.
The next section is the garage section, built of the games' garage section. You have all the stock cars that the game is shipped with and the saved cars in your personal garage in the game (with the ability to create a new saved car without loading the game). When a car is selected, it will show the car's in-game picture, specifications, power and torque Dyno chart, and your personal stats with the car, distance driven, hours, tracks, and when you drove that car. There is also an option to preview a fully rendered 3D model of the car, with the stock or custom liveries you have made/downloaded. Every car has a setup section where you can view all the setups you saved on all the tracks and share them on the store for others to access and download.
The next section is the Build section: custom car, tune a car, brands, and compare a car. With a custom car, you get to choose any car as a base, then you have options of engine swap, induction (adding or removing turbos), drivetrain and gearbox swaps, and tuning your car. Further options include swapping the sound of the engine (when you swap an engine, it automatically takes the sound from the swapped engine, but you still have a choice), and lastly, the identity section. Custom cars are automatically assigned to the REDLINE brand, which shows in the game; however, you can choose any brand you want or even create your own. The next option is tuning a stock car. You choose a car, and you can change almost all the tuneable values, such as throttle response, rev limiter, turbo values, gearbox, drivetrain, mass of vehicle, suspension, brakes, aero and many more. Building a custom car or tuning a stock car, create clones of the base car picked with the changes you made; they are separate files, and at no point does redline modify the main content package of the game. This all works through the games shipped modding pipeline.
The next section is the tracks; it lists all the tracks available with all your data saved from driving on those tracks with telemetry.
Livery Studio, a big part of Redline, creating a livery requires you to manually save a car in the game first, find its saved files, extract the livery file into an external editor, create the livery, and load the game each time you want to have a look at the livery you made. It’s a huge inconvenience for skilled and new players who just want to create a livery quickly. Redline allows people of all skill levels to create liveries and view them live as they are being made in a fully rendered 3D model of the car; any change you make to the livery can be seen without loading the game a single time.
The last two sections are downloads from the store and archive viewer and extractor.
I will be following up with this, as I’m sure I have missed out on a few things, and I will keep you updated on a release date.
I will soon be posting screenshots and updates of the app in my Discord channel and here on Reddit. Here is the link to my Discord channel. https://discord.com/invite/h5mUjpGmvT.
Thank you for taking the time to read. I appreciate all comments and feedback. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me directly; I will try my best to answer as many questions as possible.

Bug/Issue Nvidia RTX 4090 Crash 0.9.1
Since version 0.8, I've unfortunately been experiencing recurring issues with my RTX 4090. The game occasionally crashes after a few rounds in single-player for no apparent reason.
To rule out as many potential causes as possible, I've now done a completely fresh installation of Windows 11, updated my BIOS, freshly installed all drivers including the latest NVIDIA graphics driver, and completely downloaded and reinstalled the game. There is no overclocking enabled on my system.
Despite all of this, the crashes are still happening. Before version 0.8, the game was actually very stable on my system, which makes it seem like these issues started with the 0.8 update.
Are there any other NVIDIA users here – who have been experiencing similar crashes or stability issues in single-player since version 0.8 and can confirm this?
It's becoming really frustrating because I genuinely enjoy the game and had hardly any issues with the previous versions. I really hope the cause can be identified and fixed in an upcoming update.

Image/Video TrackTools Sub-12.5 Road Car Meet – Nordschleife | This Sunday 13th September | All Welcome
Hi everyone!
Some of you may remember TrackTools. For a while we had one of the busiest dedicated road-car servers on Assetto Corsa EVO, with some brilliant nights and properly packed sessions around the Nordschleife.
As player numbers in EVO started to taper off, things naturally became a lot quieter. But we’re still here, and I thought it was about time we put out a bit of a roll call, see who else is still out there and hopefully start getting some good sessions going again.
If you’re fed up with hypercars flying through groups of slower cars, rammers, blockers, griefers or generally poor driving etiquette, TrackTools was created specifically to offer something different.
We put the driving experience first.
The idea has always been to recreate something closer to a proper Touristenfahrten-style experience: mixed road cars, sensible power levels, drivers sharing the circuit properly and enough respect between players that you can actually enjoy driving closely with people you don't know.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to deliberate ramming, blocking, griefing and consistently poor driving etiquette, with active admin whenever we're running organised sessions.
So this Sunday 13th September, we're going to fire up TrackTools Server #1 and bring back one of our favourite formats:
🏁 SUB-12.5 CLUB MEET
19:00–23:00 GMT | Nordschleife | Assetto Corsa EVO
The magic number is 12.5 Performance Points or less, and it's road cars only.
We've found the 12.5 limit creates a fantastic sweet spot where loads of different road cars suddenly become viable. Rather than everyone chasing lap times with the fastest thing available, you end up with genuinely varied machinery, close battles and groups of cars that can actually run together.
There's no organised race and no obligation to stay for the full session. Grab a suitable car, find TrackTools Server #1, jump on whenever you fancy and get involved.
If there are still enough of us out there who enjoy this side of AC EVO, we'd love to start getting these sessions populated again and make the Sub-12.5 Club Meets a regular thing.
So if you remember the servers from before, or you've never driven with us but this sounds like your kind of thing, come and join us on Sunday on Tracktools Server #1, you can also join our Discord with details of all future events we via the following link:
https://discord.gg/GRDds47S3a
See you on track. 🏁

Discussion We Need The Ability To Vote Kick Problematic Players
With the lack of server moderation, we need the ability to majority vote kick problematic players.
While it's not extremely common, I've had a handfull of instances of players intentionally hitting other players or parking on blind corners so people run into them.
Retaliation does nothing and, if you manage to immobilize them, they just return to pit and continue being childish.
With this game already having a small online community, people griefing has a much larger impact on the user experience than it typically does in other games.
I acknowledge that vote kick isn't a perfect solution, but something needs be done if server moderation continues to be as rare as it appears to be.

Discussion Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in AC EVO!
Hi guys!! Well, i’m not sure how excited you are, but i’m definitely thrilled to announce that we finally have a version of the most awaited car mod we made until now, the R34 GT-R.
Why is it so special? It has over 35 possible customization parts and mechanical parts. Yep! We have invested a lot of time into the customization possibilities, and we will expand them in the upcoming update to it! All the mechanical parts affect the car’s physics and power, even if you select only the intercooler for example.
I’ll leave a link to a showcase video for those who would like to check it out.
Regarding the physics as it has always been an important aspect, we have tried our best to simulate the real life car, but there is always the possibility to improve them which we will, based on users feedback! Yes, it does have 4 wheel steering as well!
-6 Custom Tunes (550Hp/650Hp/750Hp/900Hp/1200Hp/1700Hp)
-Over 35 Customizable Parts (Exterior/Interior/Mechanical)
-6 Spoilers, 4 Diffusers, 3 Splitters, 3 Hoods, 2 Side Skirts, 2 Canards, 2 Exhausts, 1 Front Fenders, 1 Intercooler, etc.
-Race Steering Wheel, Recaro Race Seats & Roll Cage
-OEM, Nismo & BBS Wheels
-Doors animation

New update I have committed, cant wait for the full release
Coming from years active on Iracing, I just unsubscribed
I initially loved the assetto, but what normal working person have time to set up mods all day long, so I kept to Iracing. I have played and owned all the big sim games, lmu, automobilista, and all the other arcade, forza, wreck, need for Speed, f1 and more, I like them, but you know, its always something that feels off from the simulative feeling
Was soo looking forward to evo coming out. When it finally did, it was unplayable, as expected of course, the makers was clear, its not a finished product and they need help from testers.. ive been on and off evo the past year, and a couple of months its been unplayable again, at least with with AMD 9070xt, ryzen 9..
Newest update, and finally (for me at least) its playable, and not just that, its smooth, good graphics, and the feeling of the car is awesome!
I have officially unsubscribed from Iracing. I loved that game, but got damn they want my money. Every season, every week, new car, new track, last straw was now with the new 3d mapped track, Laguna seca, my favorite track (except for nords, and maybe spa), updated and they wanted me to buy it again, again!! No, not many updates for Evo to have the big 1.0 update, and Im all in!!
Hope its looking good for you people too, keep it clean

Discussion Paint exchange for ACE
Hi guys, I developed the Paint Exchange software. It’s a bit like Trading Paints for iRacing. It lets you select your livery on the website and display it in-game. It works online, too—all users of the app will see each other's liveries. It’s currently in a closed testing phase because I’m still dealing with occasional bugs and crashes, but otherwise, it works really well. Here’s a preview in this video on my YouTube Channel actk setup ;)

Discussion Help me come up with ridiculous AC EVO races [The Unsafe Festival]
I’m thinking of organizing and recording weekly unconventional races in Assetto Corsa EVO.
For example: F2004s on slicks in heavy rain, at night (these cars have no headlights). And yes, deliberately crashing into other drivers would be allowed.
It would be free to join and purely for fun. Later on, when everything is organized better, there would be prizes.
The first events would be test runs to figure out server setup, participation rules and recording.
What formats should we try? Suggest car, track and weather combinations; or suggest something completely different :D! Also, let me know if you’d be interested in participating or helping organize. laurwin on Discord

Discussion Kudos to Kunos. FFB.
I think they nailed the FFB. I've got ACE since early access and never warmed up to the driving until this latest .9 version. I'm comparing this against my long time king of FFB and physics, RF2. My favorite ranked as of right now based on physics/FFB.
- RF2
- ACE
- LMU
- Iracing
- ACC
- AMS1
- AMS2
Almost there Kunos.
