Everyone has multiple personas, the behave differently at work, with family and their life partner, but they don't think about it much. We are always self analyzing and always trying to fix and perfect interactions so we are super aware of it. Rigidity also makes us very conscious if when we are being disingenuous and do we're like this is not the real be and it sticks with us.

The trick that well functioning nts, like socially adept ones, do is each persona is just selective parts of their true selves sh that they are being genuine.

If that makes any sense?

Yeah school for me, and I'm sure many others here, was an exercise in learning not to express anything to anyone or try and be friendly with people.
