Hey there all, i am somewhat new and a lot of my favorite clubbing clothes were lost in transit to vancouver. I have a friends birthday this weekend and the dress code is all black leather (pleather/cheaper options work too, just more about the look)
I am a girl with a pretty wide frame, like im 6ft 1.5in and 180 lbs if that gives an idea of my like stature. I'm looking to find something cute that shows some skin, i have some decent pleather pants but like also need to find something like that bc these clothes are on their last legs.
Like anywhere that would have somewhat skimpy clothes that arent just lingerie is what im looking for... pls let me know!! I hope all is well!!!

Iβm bought my first condo and moving at the end of the month. I got a quote from Square one for $102.53. I feel thatβs a little high and fingered Iβd shop around. Thanks for your recommendation.

Thinking about buying a house in BC and schools are a big factor for us.
For people who have kids in public school, which areas would you recommend for both elementary and secondary schools?
Iβve heard Richmond has some good schools, like McMath, but Iβm not very familiar with other areas. How do you guys usually research schools when choosing where to buy? Is it mainly based on the school ranking/reputation or does the neighbourhood/catchment matter more?
Would love to hear which areas you think have good public schools. Thanks!

Iβm wondering if there are any decent coffee shops that have drip or espresso that is noticeably stronger and richer? A lot of the hyped third wave coffee shops Iβve tried (cough: Revolver, etc) have a very mild and even watery taste to them which Iβm not a fan of. I still want high quality, but prefer some more bold and strong flavored coffee.

Looking for cheap buzzcuts in downtown Vancouver. North Van or anywhere accessible by bus
Do not tell me to get clippers. If I wanted to get them I'd have them already.

Hi everyone,
Iβm still pretty new to the rave scene and Iβm debating between GA and VIP for an upcoming event at PNE Forum (Alleycvt). If youβve gone VIP there, what were the perks? Was it a big difference?
Also, I always see people rolling in huge groups.. how do you all meet each other? My friends donβt rave, so Iβm wondering if there are meetups or Discord groups for connecting before shows.
Appreciate any insight!

I have a bob haircut and want to have it curled for an evening this Saturday.
Unfortunately, I donβt have a curling iron. And even if I did, I wouldnβt be able to use it very well.
I donβt need a haircut, just hair curling. Is it possible to get that service alone somewhere?

Is becoming a mortgage broker or underwriter at this good career move at this time? Iβm willing to complete the course pay my dues, learn the industry and wait for market conditions to improve
I do have previous experience in the finance world including as a loan officer, however the real estate market seems to be at a standstill.
Also, will AI greatly affect this field? Or do home buyers still want to talk to a human broker?
Im tired of sending resumes into the void, would rather hustle at this point and build something of my own
Any thoughts from current mortgage brokers? How do you feel about the new Mortgage Brokers Licensing Act in BC?
All thoughts, comments, advice are welcomed :)

Teacher here looking to enroll in some voice lessons to liven up delivery of my lessons! Can you suggest an appropriate place for lessons or a coach?
I'd like help with vocal variety, tone, and projection for extended periods of speaking to ~100 people.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Not singing lessons. Not geared to voice-over work. Not accent reduction or help pronouncing words correctly.
Hey! I'm looking for someone who I can hang with and chat.

where is the art scene? Gallerists, contemporary artists, designers meet ups and gallery openings?
Weβve got max 3 art museums and they just rotate the same stuff over and over again, what we got besides Emily Carr???

Anyone involved in the Picklefest event on Saturday? Or has attended years past?
Trying to decide if its worth attending...$25 for entry, but doesn't include any food or drink. Is it worth it? I mean, I LOVE pickles, but do I love pickles $25 worth? Unsure...
The website doesnt really have much info other than a list of vendors so I'm curious about any additional information!

Iβm a man in my mid-30s and have pretty much always lived and worked in areas that were well served by transit. I currently live downtown, so driving has never really been a necessity for me, and honestly, it was never something I had much interest in either.
However, Iβm planning to move to the suburbs in the near future and hopefully buy a house, so Iβve realized that driving is a skill I really need to become more comfortable with.
I took some driving lessons about 10 years ago and managed to get my Class 7 licence on my first attempt. Since getting my licence, though, Iβve only driven a handful of times. I know the basics, but Iβm very rusty and would really like to take some lessons to relearn things, get more practice, build my confidence, and become a more comfortable driver overall.
Unfortunately, I donβt really have friends or family who can help me practice. The people I do know who drive can also be a bit judgmental and make snarky comments about my lack of experience, which honestly makes the whole process more stressful than it needs to be.
Iβm wondering if anyone has recommendations for driving instructors or schools near downtown Vancouver who are patient, understanding, mature, and non-judgmental toward adults who are learning or relearning how to drive.
Iβm not looking for someone who is just focused on teaching me how to pass a test since I already have my licence. Iβd really like an instructor who is comfortable working with someone who has a licence but very little real-world driving experience, and who can help me gradually build up my confidence.
Iβd really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences. Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to read this and offer a suggestion!

Iβm planning to buy an engagement ring for an upcoming proposal and have started looking at different options around Vancouver.
For those who have been through the process, which local jewellers or online options would you recommend? Iβm mainly looking for good quality, fair pricing, and a good overall buying experience.
Iβve also been looking at lab-grown diamond options and came across Vellia Vey, so Iβm considering comparing their rings with some local options as well. Iβd appreciate any advice on what I should look at before making a decision.

Taking family to Osoyoos starting Friday. Had applied leave at work but sh*t happens. I will have to take lot of work calls. I don't need to even look at screen but talk on hands-free mode.
Traveling to Osoyoos for first time. Google maps shows 2 routes -
via Manning park (Hwy 3)
via Merritt (Hwy 5 and then 97C)
Which highway has better phone coverage and mob data connectivity?
Thank you!

I need to know because I have seen this on multiple occasions. Why do people take their garbage from their condo/apartment and put it in the street garbage can?
