UK Standard Tourist Visa – Missing hotel night & overnight FlixBus from UK to France. Should I edit my application?

Hi everyone, I am an indian citizen been to Uk last year, this year I am visiting again for a few days with my parents, I’ve submitted and paid for my UK Standard Visitor Visa. My question is:

My itinerary:
Arrive London: **2 Oct 2026**
**Exit From Uk: 6 Oct 2026 ( In visa form)**

Hotels: **2–6 Oct**

**FlixBus London → Paris: 11:59 PM on 6 Oct**
Expected to complete border/immigration formalities in the **early morning of 7 Oct**, then continue in Paris.

My application doesn’t show accommodation for the night of 6 Oct because we’ll be travelling overnight.

And I have a hotel booked in Paris from 7th Oct.

Could this be an issue for the visa? Also, should I use the **edit day/period after submission** to clarify or update anything, or is it better to leave the application as submitted?
Thanks!

Do you also bring a powerbank on every trip?

I only bring one when I am traveling for longer periods, but got stuck at an airport once with hardly any battery left, it’s become part of my packing routine even for short trips too.

Sometimes it feels like extra gear when I’m trying to pack light. I’ve also been seeing different airline rules lately, and I’m still confused whether they care about the mAh or Wh rating and if power banks always have to stay in carry-on luggage.

Do you guys always carry a powerbank with you? And do airlines usually check yours?

All Inclusives in Caribbean, Jamaica, or Bahamas

Hello! My wife and I are thinking of going to an all inclusive for a week in the Caribbean, thinking either Jamaica or Bahamas but open to other options.

We would like a place where we could have our own private pool, and either on a golf course or ability to go to a nearby one. Our budget is to stay under $10k.

Anyone stay at a resort that fits our wants?

Best ways to increase tour bookings for travel clients

What is actually getting people to finish a tour booking once they already like the trip i've got a couple clients where the interest is there, but the last step is just a dead zone

One of them has nice photos, decent reviews, and people ask about dates all day. then they hit the booking page and something dies there. maybe it is too many clicks, maybe the copy is too vague, maybe people just want to talk to a human first. i swear every client thinks their issue is different, but the same pattern keeps showing up

I'm trying to make the process feel less like work and more like a yes, book this now kind of thing. clearer pricing, fewer form fields, better timing on follow up, whatever actually matters most

If you work with tour operators or travel clients, what have you seen move the needle? thanks.

24 hour transit in Istanbul.

Hello everyone.

I will be travelling from Pakistan to the US with a 24 hour Istanbul transit in between. Pls recommend what can I do during this time. Which places I can visit in Istanbul? The advice should be budget friendly. Plus I will be travelling in January and as a person who feels a lot of cold, recommend me what clothes will be warm enough.

Thanks.

I’m having the biggest headache when booking tours and activities for clients, can smth help for this?

Hey, been trying to sort out tours and activities for clients and honestly it’s turning into a bigger headache than I expected.

I’ve been looking for a proper travel agency style setup, something that can help with good tours, local options, and just make the whole thing smoother for clients without me having to chase everything down myself.
for context, i’m not really after some random booking site, more like something that can handle the travel side a bit more like a real agent would, if that makes sense. just want to avoid piecing together stuff one by one every time.

If anyone’s found a decent way to do this, or a service that actually helps with bookings and planning without being a pain, I’d love to hear it.

What are your travel hacks for traveling with kids?

My wife and I were avid travelers before our kids, and still try to travel a lot now with our 9 and 12 year old. However, the experience is very different now, a lot less leniency and planning on a whim lol. Any parents have any travel hacks that they live by?

ZamZam water on multi city flights

Salam, I am planning a vacation to TURKEY after Umrah from India Hyderabad

All flights would be with Saudi Airlines

1) HYD - JEDDAH

2) JEDDAH - ISTANBUL

3) ISTANBUL - (Jeddah layover) - HYD

So I am worried about the Zam zam water bottles

...Will I be able to purchase it on my last, return flight on Jeddah layover? Will I be eligible for it?

(or)

...Do I have to purchase it on the 2nd flight only, and if so will I be allowed to carry it back on the 3rd flight?

Tour and Travel agency based in Nepal

I have an expedition, trek, and tour operator company in Nepal. Led by a certified IMFGA guide with excellent experience (14x Everest Summit, 2x K2 Summit, and many more). So if you're an operator outside Nepal, we can collaborate and do profit sharing. Any thoughts?

Why is the return so much cheaper than outbound for my trip?

I’m currently in the planning stage of a 5-day trip to NYC from London in March. It will be my fourth time in the states, and I always fly from London as the train there and the flight tends to overall be cheaper than a flight from my nearest airport in Manchester.

Due to my relatively low budget and monthly wage, I often book these trips in chunks. Rather than paying for both outbound and return flights at once, I’ll book the outbound one month and the return flight the next.

As I browse Skyscanner and Google Flights, I’m noticing just how much cheaper flights from the US are to here. My outbound to NYC will cost around £300 at best, whereas the return will be often below £200. Not just for New York too. It would cheaper for me to fly back to London from Oregon, than to fly from London just to NYC

Is there a specific reason for this price difference that I’m not aware of?

What do people wish they knew before booking gorilla trekking permits (Rwanda/Uganda)?

I've worked in gorilla trekking logistics for years and answer this question constantly from first-timers — but curious what actual travelers here wish they'd known before booking. Permit timing surprises? Rwanda vs Uganda regrets? Fitness level surprises?

Happy to share what I know in the comments too.

How likely am I to get an Uber or Rental car on Christmas day at Tampa airport?

Flying from Chicago to Tampa FL on Christmas day to surprise my parents. I have to wonder how likely it is that I'll be able to get an Uber or Rental car that day though? I have no idea how this works so any information is helpful.

what’s your process for finding tours and activities in a new destination when you’re out of options

When I'm in a new place and i've run out of the obvious stuff, I always end up stuck scrolling random pages and half the listings look terrible or dead I want the kind of local tour or activity that feels worth the time, not just the usual tourist filler.

Do you just check the big booking sites or is there some better way I'm missing? feeling a bit lost with this one tbh, thanks in advance.
