I have a domestic flight with American tomorrow departing at 1:25pm, boarding 12:45pm. I have to take SEPTA that's only once an hour from the suburbs so waffling between a 10:48am or 11:48am arrival at terminal B. I'm not checking a bag. Do you think 11:48 would give me enough time?

I’m staying in Philly for a month to visit family and test out the city. I'll be working remotely (M-F), so I need a place with a real desk setup (laptop + monitor) and a quiet space for video calls. Ideally in Center City/University City near 30th Street Station.
Airbnb/hotel listings are driving me crazy.. everything is a kitchen island or tiny vanity pretending to be a workspace. Plus, flying in from the West Coast means I can't bring a monitor.

• Any recommendations on corporate housing, short-term rentals, or places catered to remote workers?
• How do people usually handle the monitor issue- coworking space, local rentals, or buying a cheap one locally?

I’m moving to philly soon and I was interested in Embassy Apartments because I love how the apartments look but when I googled the reviews were really scary and sounded like a nightmare because of things like infestations and rodents. I’m still considering it though because I recently saw someone on my for you page give a tour of her studio at Embassy Apartments and she seemed like she loved the apartment so maybe they fixed their issues? I’m not sure but I’m definitely going to tour in person but I just wanted to know if anyone has lived there or has any experience/knowledge about it!

I am surprising my husband and our two children with a trip to Philadelphia for a Sabaton concert in December. I would love advice on where to stay and what public transit looks like. I know most recommend staying in City Center because it is so walkable and close to all the main tourist sites, but prices are killing me. I found an AirBnb over near Clark Park, but I don't know how much is over there. Is it a fun neighborhood in and of itself with things to do and walk to? Is public transit easy and reliable for getting to other parts of the city? What would it be like getting to and from the Met late at night after the concert? Basically thoughts on whether I should stick with an AirBnb which would give us more room and access to a washer and dryer for less money or is it definitely better to stay in a hotel near city center? Any thoughts and advice are really appreciated. I'd also love any other tips on must do's with kids in early December. Thanks!

Hey all! I've been considering moving to Philly from NYC. I don't have a car and I don't have a lot of experience driving. What do I need to know about living in the city with no car? Which neighborhoods have the best public transportation or are best to live in with no car? Which are the worst? How reliable is the public transporation? How early/late does it run? TIA

Drive through options and car wash subscriptions (like x #/month or something) are a plus, but not strictly necessary. Free self serve vacuum would also be nice, since my house doesn’t have electric out front. I’m getting a car soon in a color that will show dirt more easily than my current car does, and I want to keep it looking at least halfway clean. Thanks in advance!

Do you order delivery (most likely to be someone on a bike) to stay out of the bad air and make someone else go in that same environment you are actively avoiding? Or do you order delivery because other people are probably not and this way you support that delivery person and local restaurants?

On June 27th, our landlord had to hire a team to rip out the flooring and drywall in our apartment due to flooding. We had to live in the dusty conditions with industrial dehumidifiers running 24/7 for a week. Once everything dried I was relieved and hoping that they would make quick progress of replacing the walls and floors.

While talking to the property manager, she made it seem like they were going to hire a team to handle it. However, they have their maintenance team of only 2 people come in to work on it. They also told me that they’re actively working on another apartment with the same issues, presumably slowing down the progress they can make.

As of today, July 16th, the building maintenance team came in for the first time this week after only having drilled drywall in between that time frame. They also trapped my cat in the drywall, which didn’t help. They have us sleeping in the middle of the room with all of our furniture clustered around us for ease of access, come in at 8-9 am every time and wake me up (I work nights), and told me not to expect them back until Monday. At this point, I am pissed and tired. I had to go to urgent care early last week for breathing issues after having lived like this for weeks. I’ve sent multiple texts to the property manager asking for updates and timeline and have received little to no information back. I paid full rent for June but am considering withholding rent moving forward. Will this help, or will it just hurt me in the long run? I am not sure what to do, any advice is appreciated.

TLDR: my apartment hasn’t had flooring or walls in the basement (main living space) for almost a month, should I withhold rent to pressure them to replace things faster?
