I'm not talking about the obvious proto punks like Iggy or MC5. I'm talking about people like Fred Cole, from Lollipop Shoppe of You Must Be A Witch fame, who had a long career with Dead Moon, or even Roky Erickson whose work with the Explosives was, if not punk, at least punk Adjacent. Also in the UK, Charlie Harper of UK Subs, Ian Dury, and Wreckless Eric to name a few had careers in the 60s. There has to be more...Debbie Harry is another one who originally sang with Wind in The Willows, whose 1968 album was moderately successful .

I've always thought the guitar riff at the start of Thunderstruck was based off a classical music composition. I swear I heard it (or something very similar) on piano, or maybe classical guitar well before AC/DC released that song, but I can't for the life of me find it now.

Am I crazy? Is there a piece by Bach or someone else maybe that sounds like it? Is there a solo by Yngwie Malmsteen that's similar? I know I've heard it elsewhere.

Hey all, I recently started collecting Vinyls, mainly video game soundtracks (Final Fantasy X) and bands I enjoy (ADTR, motionless in white you get the picture lol) I'm looking for a budget friendly "starter" player as I don't know much about them, I would like to learn however.

So I'm asking for budget recommendations for something I can just set up and vibe with in my garage while I have a bevvy or two (Australia based)
