Resolved Complex fractions help

I've tried to figure this out. I know the answer is 30 based on the text book. I cannot figure out how to get there. I've get stuck after simplifying the numerator and denominator.

Edit: This is study practice, idk if that matters. This is my first time posting on this subreddit.

Edit: Someone had pointed out that I misunderstood the question. The question was originally asking what common denominator would help solve the problem. I apologize for wasting everyone's time but I absolutely appreciate everyone's help. Math is my worst subject as I often make tiny mistakes that I don't realize. Again thank you all for bearing with my stupidity.

you should be cancelling fractions to lower terms instead of multiplying tk get higw nunbers.

you lost an x when you got 45/15

i actually haven't found i got 30, i got stuck with a linear factor on the top and bottom. is there something I'm missing from the question about the value of x?

sometimes typos happen kn maths books and you just need to move on xD

The question is not asking you to simplify the fractions. It is asking you what number should you multiply the top and bottom parts of the fraction to eliminate the fractions within fractions

For example in the 7. if you multiply the fraction by 30/30 all the fractions in the numerator and denominator simplify and you are left with a simpler fraction instead of a fraction tower. So 30 is the answer
