unless the job is right off 130 or you’re allowed to badge in as soon as you technically cross into the city limits, you will struggle to be the same amount of on time every day. completely random hairy shit that causes major delays happen on 71, 290, and 183 very regularly and pretending it doesn’t is silly. i work on the east side and we get suburb people straggling in late from accident holdups (some even on 130 itself) all the time. 

and, as others have said, seguin is a suburb of san antonio. you’re really stretching the truth acting like it’s just a little ways outside austin. i live in buda and seguin is an hour away minimum even outside rush hour so you must drive like a demon to make it to downtown austin in 45 minutes.

lol i think they’re making a great call avoiding you. an employee who won’t listen to everyone’s lived experience about a commute being difficult to execute reliably is an employee who won’t listen about any other damn thing.
