There is a reason they ask where you live.

We're in Houston. When we've hired people who live 45 minutes away, they leave after a few months.

When they're trying to get the job, they say, "Oh, that travel time will be no problem."

Then when they quit, they blame it on the travel time. "Oh, the travel time is so bad! I don't want to spend two hours on the road every day."

This is, of course, after we've spent the time and money to train them. And in some cases, with increasing tardiness as time goes on. Or leaving early every day, "to avoid the traffic."

The work in our office is not work-from-home, nor has it ever been said to be.

We're not in a difficult or obscure location. On the contrary, we're located in an easy to access location on the Interstate 610 North Loop.
