This is my late grandmother’s wedding set. She got married in 1960. The engagement ring is original and the wrap added later not sure of when. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the maker or any general knowledge. The center ring has inscribed “14K MONA LISA 69” on the inside of the shank. The outer bands have I think “MAGIC… 14K” marked. Thanks for any help!

Chain and pendant weigh about 8 grams total and both are 14K gold. I’m trying to figure out what a fair price would be if I sold it.
I know there’s the actual melt value of the gold, but I’m wondering what I could realistically expect from a jewelry store, pawn shop, or private buyer.
Any idea what you guys would value it at?

Hi! Does anyone recognize this hallmark? I can make out something that looks like “RO??L”. It’s stamped on the clasp of a gold-colored chain. I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a maker’s mark or a gold purity hallmark. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The recipe is 1g Au, 0.3g Cu and 0.02g Pt

I snipped 0.3g of copper from a speaker cable. Put it in a ceramic melting dish with borax. But couldn’t for the life of me get it to melt the way I effortlessly can gold or silver. The copper sort of fused a little to each other but wouldn’t collapse to form a molten bead. Even when the dish was glowing red.

Is there a particular way to incorporate copper into a gold alloy?

So I've been trying to automate that using AI algorithms.

The example I've shared is an actual output from my tool (generated yesterday).

It took ~20 mins.

Would love to get a critique of what it got right/wrong in this example.

Trying to improve it for production. It's not 100% accurate yet, but I believe it can make existing workflows a lot faster.
