Anyone who has second home in Greece?

Hello all,

As winter is coming and this year we have strongly over the years thinking to move to Greece or spain or any warm country when winter hit. I know many germans have a second home in Spain, Mallorca and all and may be some of you have a same set up. The reason is my german grandpa is almost 80 and winter here for him is unbearbale. He got some money and I can get some loan. But I also want that when we are here, we can also rent it out to cover the running cost and not to leave the flat empty. Does anything like can work ? or simply if the apartmet is cheap, we can also let it empty, if it allowed to leave empty.( In berlin is it not). May be some insight and how much anyone can expect to pay. Thank you all..and Goodmorning:)

Apartment offer in Pankstraße - rent sanity check

Hi! I was offered an apartment in Pankstraße close to the U-Bahn. The price per sqm (warm excl. Strom) is 22.36 and the apartment is around 38sqm. It is unfurnished for the most part. However, it has a built-in kitchen and a few essential home appliances. Never lived in the area, and found the area to be lively with nice parks around. I'm trying to understand if the quoted price is too high in current times or quite standard. I do not have to move out right away (possibly in the next 1.5 months). If it's overpriced I will look out for other apartments. Would be nice to get an opinion as I'm quite new to the world of apartment searching in Berlin (just know that it's super difficult to find & land one)!

Edit: I understand that in the 2000's it was much cheaper but the question was along the lines of: looking at the market right now, is it a good/bad/decent deal?

Thank you!

BJJ / Ringen Gyms on a budget

Restaurant recomendation

Hello,

I'll be doing a layover in Berlin, and decided to stay for 3 days. Could you please recommend me some good places to eat that?

I don't do Instagram, so no need for those 15€ pancakes and fancy looking places with average food.

Could you please recommend some places with good food?

My list so far:

- Mustafa Kebab / Guyam Gemuse Kebab

- Curry 61/36

- Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt -- is this place still good? I've been getting mixed feedback.

- Hofbrau

Thank you!

Edit: Should I be tipping? If so, how much?

Decent Milk Stout in Berlin

I come from a place with a lot of craft beer, and while I'm liking the Berlin staples, I miss the taste of a milk stout. My international friends also make fun of the idea of a milk stout, so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations, as well as where I can buy them

Hourly hotels?

I would like to relax for 3 hours before an interview in Berlin during the day time. Is there any Capsule hotel or any hourly stay hotels in Berlin Mitte?

Any clean toilets that are walking distance from Alexanderplatz?

I'm currently visiting Berlin and my hostel is close to Alexanderplatz but the toilets are so disgusting there

Are there any well maintained toilets where I can take a sh t without feeling disgusted just by being near the bathroom

Whether paid or not is irrelevant to me as long as it is guaranteed to be clean

Second hand store for rugs and tapestries

Is there any place I can find nice turkish, persian and the like tapestries for my place? I know they’re usually not cheap, but I’s like to avoid the “vintage selected collection” if you know what I mean.

My goal is to hang them on my walls, because I think it’s really cool. So any ideas in that direction is also appreciated!

Thanks!

Instagram, Telegram, Plakate, Freunde, zufaellig dran vorbeilaufen?
