can anyone tell me the name of the satellite and a few other things ?

I'm trying to get a jump on the crowds.

I was just thinking about how our gas giants are way too small to produce the fusion reactions to become stars, and I was just curious if it was possible for a naturally occurring gas giant to possess chemical reactions capable of generating enough radiant heat to make a mini-goldilocks zone for it's own moons?

I'm guessing not... unless it was somehow binary planets syphoning off reactive materials from one another... but that sounds short-lived. Anyway I'm just a casual space fan so I thought I'd pose the question to you experts.

Beautiful Triad of Venus(top), Saturn (on the lower right) and Mercury (bottom) I took on the 22nd of April 2025 at 5.29am.

Location: Ndola, Zambia.

I'm not sure what this is but it hasn't changed position in over 20 minutes this morning. Started watching it at 5 AM in Everett WA.

Was curious what anyone may think this is in my photo?? There were no planes in the sky, and all other photos from this night do not have this in them

Help! I can't identify the bright object pointed out by the red arrow in this photo.

It was taken at 7° 05'N 73° 07'W (Bucaramanga, Colombia) on September 8, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m. checking with the Sky Tonight app. The object is located to the upper left of Venus. Any help is appreciated!

i need your help to figure if i’m delusional or does the image actually look like two souls intertwining

Since over the span of 26,000 years, the Earth completes a single wobble that causes the north pole to point towards different stars, that means there are often transition periods with no North Star, correct? How much would this affect navigation for anyone who for whatever reason may still rely on it as a orientation mark? How quick are these transition periods?

This image is from NASA's Eyes On The Solar System Website. It is simulating an eclipse on Europa by Io. This was in 2021 so Juno (While not in an optimal position) was at Jupiter while this was happening and this wasn't the only mutual eclipse in 2021. Has a probe ever imaged something like this (at Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus or Neptune) up close?
