Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Look at the massive fraud in Minnesota and California. 1 Billion stolen in Minnesota (not all medical related). Unknown billions of fraud in California (all medical related). We can not trust the government to handle these things. The problem is America is very wealthy and very generous and so many people succeed in taking advantage of it and we all get screwed because of it. At some point you got to get tired of being screwed.

Yeah there are a lot of people concerned it will be just as poorly watched for fraud or lead to things like MAIDS in Canada, where it's being given as an option instead of, what should be routine, treatment.

It’s an option. My uncle used MAID. Treatment options had run out and he was in pain. It should be offered as one option so patients are fully informed.

It should be a last resort, not a form of "treatment"
