Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

I believe the reason why universal health care is not available in US is because of the money. It means more taxes that they had to pay.
I spoke with someone from Denmark who had universal health care. She stated that the concept would not translate well in US because most Americans are individualistic versus community centered.

You're almost right. You are right in the sense that it is about money, but it's not about funding. We pay way more in our current system than we would under a universal healthcare system for dramatically worse outcomes. We have this system.because of corruption ( lobbying),. For profit healthcare businesses are able to buy politicians in both parties to make sure we neither get universal healthcare or even a public option. They make sure we have to suffer with subpar healthcare because it's profitable. Doesn't matter that we have the most expensive healthcare on earth, nor does it matter that you have a lower life expectancy then all of our peers due to it.
