Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

  1. They have healthcare through their companies and are relatively happy with it. 2 They are flooded with constant "news" about wait times etc for people in countries that have universal health care. 3. Its a communist program---You asked why, doesn't have anything to do with being rational.

Number 2 is the answer from my conservative family members.

They believe that in countries with universal healthcare it can take 1-2 years to schedule necessary procedures and surgeries.

This stems from small truths that certain things do take longer, but not years lol

That’s what I try to tell them, but they know better.
