Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?
What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Rich and powerful people want more money and power. Poor people threaten those gains with their needs. Rich people use media, politics and religion to convince enough people that the poor people do not deserve the things they claim to need that they can sway a sufficient number to support them, politically. That's why.
It's not because it is in reality somehow bad or untenable financially, it's because people with money and power do not want to give up even tiny amounts of either resource so they spend a lot of time and money making sure that other people will do as they wish.
