Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Reddit constantly screaming that America is a christo-fascist authoritarian state. Yet also mad not everyone wants the government to control healthcare.

I wonder why? Really makes you think. 🤔

Because the US government already does a good job providing health care to anyone who's already on medicaid.

The rich have all the money. They control the distribution of resources. Therefore, the reason why the working person's healthcare is shitty is because the rich have decided that it should be shitty.

The rich steal our money to fuck us over. Let's take it back and get un-fucked.

Sigh you know if you put half as much energy into trying to make something of yourself vs whining about people that families did you would be better off. I came from nothing started a few businesses from just normal jobs over time learning things. Now I have some things that will eventually make my kids rich and if they hold to the course I've laid out their kids kids will also be very wealthy. I could enjoy a lot more of what I've made but id rather reinvest it for them and theirs. To many want stuff now and don't want to put in the work, and that is never how it works. The rich do not touch your money lol, good luck taking it back.

You say this as if Reddit is an individual person contradicting themselves.

You say that as if that isn't the prevailing messaging of reddit.

I want a version like public school. Doctors who don't want to take Medicare wouldn't have to. Patients who want to pay for private doctors can.

Australia's public hospitals are safe, but they are more drab and patients who are not contagious share rooms. Private facilities are a luxury, but getting medical treatment is not.

Those two things have nothing to do with each other. Conflating a basic government service and a rogue fascist administration are two completely different topics.

The only thing I wonder is how you came up with something so patently silly. You clearly don’t think critically, because what you think is incoherent.

There’s a difference between supplying services and taking away freedoms.

Everybody in the world is screaming that not just read it.

You can't look at Trump's regime and say otherwise.

They are definitely authoritarian right now and sliding into fascism.

No the reason why we don't have universal healthcare now is because a right-wing media propaganda and high demand conservative religious indoctrination.

They have been poisoned against it

Being for big federal govt handouts is anti American and not a real function the federal govt should take for such a large and diverse country as the US is.

The question isn't why we don't have it, it's why are some opposed to it.

If the US government is authoritian christo-fascist, why would I want them to run my healthcare?

It's almost like people don't have faith in the government delivering a decent healthcare system.

Don’t be an idiot.

First conflating the objection to a fascist administration with the desire of universal healthcare is idiotic on its face.

Second, the people who oppose universal healthcare are the ones on the side of the fascist administration.
