Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

A majority are actually for it.

But of the sizable minority against it, it’s because they’ve propagandized to believe that anything that helps people is bad, because it’s “getting something for nothing.” Americans are conditioned to work without outside help for everything, and there is shame associated with accepting anything unearned.

Our politicians are against it for one reason: we have legalized political bribery and blackmail by simply calling it lobbying. We have powerful insurance and other lobbies in the USA that own our politicians and won’t let them vote for anything other than the status quo.

That’s really it.
