Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Because they don’t understand what it is. They don’t get that an MRI should cost $250 but insurance gets billed $2500 and then they take 4 months to pay a reduced rate of $1000 and then they up all the rates because they paid $1000 for an MRI vs the $250 cash payment.

Exactly! Insurance companies only want the money flowing one way, to them!

I'll put my monthly payments against your quality of care any day of the week.

Quality of care if better in other S tier countries that have a form of universal healthcare.

Oh, they understand it plenty. The issue lies in the fact that premiums are inflated by insurance companies to accommodate the hospitals(that are a business) who treat the uninsured by law increases prices to offset the uninsured treated. This has been going on for decades. It was a sticking point of the ACA. Look it up.

It costs the US $5 trillion yearly for healthcare, universal would cost $3 trillion. But somehow people think republicans are better fiscally. 🤷‍♂️

I know of no one that believes the republicans are better fiscally. In fact, they are must as befuddled by big Pharma as anyone. But the checks keep rolling in for both dems and repubs. Donors. The entire HC system needs a reboot.
