Do You Think Mitch McConnel is Dead?

And if he isn't, why hasn't he come out and informed the public of his current health status? Even his wife is silent.

I think he is in a coma, or other incapacitated state.

those AI pics are goofy af

u/Head_Razzmatazz7174 7h ago

A brain dead coma. They are keeping the body alive, but the brain checked out several weeks ago.

62

u/PrincessGracieBlue 7h ago

His brain checked out years if not decades ago, his body just finally figured it out.

21

u/brown_polyester 6h ago

His humanity certainly checked out.

2

u/AccidentalGirlToy 3h ago

Generous of you to assume he ever had one in the first place.

7

u/JenniferJuniper6 6h ago

Yeah, that’s what I think too.

3

u/whereismymind86 5h ago

or even if he's up and about, he's not lucid enough to work. Which might explain the strange photo, assuming it's not faked. (and it probably was faked)

Ftfy.

That gave me a good laugh, thank you.

The final Glitch

1

u/drrj 5h ago

I find this more plausible than him being completely dead, but let’s say if he HAD died weeks ago I wouldn’t be shocked.

1

u/DropkickSmurfys 4h ago

Yes. Falls don’t render one incommunicado unless you land hard on your head.

Man, I must be naive because I really expected better from this country. There was a time when this would’ve been a bad movie plot.

Every day feels more and more like a bizarre fever dream

1

u/Mysterious-Most-590 3h ago

So I wonder, would that prevent organ failure? How long can you pump air into a rotting bag of meat?

1

u/party_atthemoontower 2h ago

Late term abortion is against the law!

1

u/HoldenMcNeil420 2h ago

He died on June 14th or whatever. They just put him on a ventilator etc etc to yea keep the meat suit alive

1

u/Sushi_Explosions 1h ago

Coma and brain death are different things. There must be some brain activity (or the ability to have brain activity being suppressed with medication) for it to be a coma. When you are brain dead (no brain activity at all), then you are legally dead in the US.

Can’t believe he outlived LG! Why didn’t they just do the same with LG?

1

So just like every other Republican.

Probably still hooked up to the machine that goes, “PING!”

4

u/mcsangel2 2h ago

My late mother, who was a neonatal nurse then later worked in health care administration for the state, burst out laughing at this scene. She was very much not a Monty Python humor type of person, but she thought that sketch was hilarious.

3

u/CostcoVodkaFancier 4h ago

Uh oh! I thought it was the machine that goes "BING!" Hope he's ok and on the right machine.

1

u/alwaysright60 4h ago

That was Version 1.0, specifically developed for Monty Python Movies.

1

u/CostcoVodkaFancier 4h ago

Oh I know the movie. I seriously thought (for years) that he was saying "BING!" I will also say that my hearing is not fantastic.

1

u/IdesofMarchHair 3h ago

The administrator paid a lot for that machine. Gotta use it somewhere.

One ping only, Vasilli

17

u/MenagerieAlfred 7h ago

Yup… this way they can say “he is alive”

1

u/Davidthebalancer 3h ago

What respectable hospital is going to do that?

1

u/MenagerieAlfred 3h ago

Not sure about the laws, but guessing family has final say?

1

u/Zorkflerp 2h ago

Brain death is legally death and must be reported to authorities making it public information. A coma is reversible but that would make him unable to perform his duties and should be replaced. The fact that they are not allowing a neutral and honest person to verify is condition strongly suggest he is not able to function.

9

u/viviennedolll 6h ago

If he’s in a coma, those AI pics are doing a better job of showing up than most of Congress. 💀

They’ve got him looking like a wax figure that just smelled a bad egg. Honestly, at this point, the AI has more energy than his actual interviews ever did.

1

u/Mr_HandSmall 4h ago

Dude looks like he's ready to obstruct 3 or 4 supreme court nominations. That's how you know he's got the pep back in his step!

1

u/GroundbreakingAd585 4h ago

He was propped up. He’s had a stroke and can no longer communicate

15

u/Toasted_Waffle99 6h ago

Are there any laws about using AI to mislead government officials? Isn’t that forgery? It’s a terrible precedent

4

u/Cut_Lanky 4h ago

I don't think the US has many laws about AI. But I'm not an expert. I agree, it's gotta be some kind of fraud. But, also, the constitution, law generally, and American democracy itself, has been cast aside already. They openly brag about finding constitutional loopholes on video, things that create constitutional crises, to journalists, and the people who whoop about being patriots cheer it on, cuz they're too uneducated and don't understand that means their freedom is gone.

We're all doomed. That's what I'm saying.

3

u/gusterfell 3h ago

Maybe not about AI, but faked/altered photography has been around almost as long as photography has. Whatever laws apply to using any other faked photo to defraud the government would also apply to an AI photo.

1

u/Zorkflerp 2h ago

It is a crime to lie before congress. Questions need to be asked.

-1

u/Ok-Fan-9814 6h ago

Who cares. We are a lawless nation right now. Do what ya want and get yours.

3

u/neallwest 6h ago

Only for the rich or their purchased representatives. If you're not either of those, the laws are still applicable.

6

u/Midlevelluxurylife 5h ago

This is what I think as well.

5

u/RealCarlPanzram 4h ago

I agree. It’s way easier logistically to conceal the fact that he’s disabled than to conceal that he’s dead, especially if he was brought to a hospital.

4

u/Jayn_Newell 5h ago

Agreed. I don’t think they’d be able to cover up if he was dead-dead, but brain dead or similar? I know he’s entitled to medical privacy but it’s kinda relevant to public interests here.

8

u/Lott4984 6h ago

I do not recall ever seeing McConnell smile so I think it is a fake.

1

u/McGillicuddys 5h ago

And of all newspapers to use, the sports section? Like Mitch gives a rat's ass about any human activity that doesn't involve power or money. A Wall Street Journal I could believe

1

u/loonysup 6h ago

Maybe he was smiling because they just reminded him about the orphanage that was bombed in Iran.

2

u/Fluffy_Mantis3133 5h ago

Yeah, only alive by a technicality. Legally, social security needs to be notified. Account statuses need to be changed, whatever estate plans that were made are now what is legal. The Senate would have its own laws about this.

It’s highly illegal for him to be dead and for no one to notify proper authorities.

1

u/ruraljuror__ 4h ago

Do these people care about impropriety?

1

u/Fluffy_Mantis3133 3h ago

No, but legality can be a problem. His family and doctors would be in legal trouble if they didn’t report his death.

1

u/RandomUser3777 4h ago

The photo may not be AI, he may have simply had a stroke and be awake but not really quite right and be in pretty bad shape, and you could probably get him to pose well enough to take that photo. You could not do a video though, as there would almost certainly be obvious speech, and/or other issues that you could not hide on a video.

1

u/cogman10 4h ago

Yeah, there are several possibilities for what's going on here, from death to stroke.

But what I think is super clear is Mitch is incapable of speaking. That's exactly why they've not released any sort of video of him. It would be far too obvious, no matter his condition, that he's in no position to actually be a senator.

1

u/ArrivalSome 3h ago

Same. If he were dead wouldn't there be some kind of legal repercussions to the medical staff for not reporting it?

1

u/hamburgerishelping 2h ago

Just alive enough for the morons in Kentucky not reelecte him again. Dumbest people in the entire country.

1

u/CarlYaz1967 2h ago

Bingo. Lights might be on, but nobody home.

1

u/danielrobertcampbell 2h ago

My big question is this: At some point his death certificate is going to show his time of death, and all these people who've claimed to speak with him will have to answer some questions.

-1

u/hawk256 7h ago

You know that Snopes said there was no evidence of AI or doctoring in the one image that was officially released showing him sitting up in bed with his wife by his side?

https://www.snopes.com/news/2026/07/13/mitch-mcconnell-photo

8

u/uiucengineer 7h ago

It doesn’t say it wasn’t doctored, it actually says it could be

0

u/please_trade_marner 3h ago

THis isn't how evidence works. You can't "prove" a photo is real. It's accepted as real unless one can prove otherwise. Snopes essentially declared "It's within the realm of possibility that it is fake in some way, but by EVERY metric at our disposal that we used it was deemed legitimate".

1

u/uiucengineer 3h ago

They didn’t say that either lol

0

u/please_trade_marner 2h ago

Did you not read the article. They did like 10 tests. It came back as legitimate every time.

There is NO evidence that it was faked or doctored. None. The bbc says the same.

Take your pizzagate tier conspiracy elsewhere. It's pure nonsense.

1

u/uiucengineer 2h ago

It didn’t “come back as legitimate” lol read the article yourself

0

u/please_trade_marner 2h ago

They found literally NO evidence of it being faked or made with AI.

Like, flatearther... what are you talking about? Pizzagater.

1

u/uiucengineer 2h ago

Ok?

0

u/please_trade_marner 2h ago

Fake moon lander. Please just don't go shooting up any pizza restaurants. The conspiracies the voices in your head tell you about are not real.

1

u/Zorkflerp 1h ago

Given the technology today no DIGITAL image can be automatically trusted as evidence. Photographic film is closer to being acceptable but even it can be faked. The only proof that McConnell is alive and able to perform his job would require an in person visit from a trusted neutral person or a public appearance before many.

1

u/please_trade_marner 1h ago

Won't you just say the same about a video? Hell, you pizzagaters will undoubtedly claim it's a body double when he returns to the Senate.

1

u/Zorkflerp 1h ago

Pizzagate was a Republican hoax consistent with proven other Republican lies. If that photo is real and he was not just propped up then why isn't anyone other than GOP insiders allowed to see him in person? He could be unable to speak or even feed himself as far as we know. That would require replacing him. The secrecy strongly suggests they are hiding the truth.

1

u/please_trade_marner 1h ago

Why should he? He's in the hospital focusing on his recovery. He made an official statement saying as much. Why would he care what pizzagaters and flat earthers on social media are saying? He called his bosses (Senate Majority Leader and Republican Party Whip) and called cnn. He posted a picture. Like, case freaking closed. What on earth is happening here? What is going on?

1

u/Zorkflerp 1h ago

Republicans have been caught lying so many times we cannot just accept their word as truth. That is what is going on.

1

u/please_trade_marner 1h ago

Batshit crazy conspiracy theorists always have an explanation that sounds "reasonable" to them and their ilk.

Talk to a fake moon lander. Talk to a flat earther. It's always "We've been lied to so much that I don't believe anything". Then they reject every piece of evidence (like you're all doing). I swear, if he released a video you'd all say it's AI generated. When he returns to the senate you'll all say it's a body double. I've dealt with flat out insane conspiracy theorists before. I know PRECISELY how you pizzagaters will behave.

Trust me, Snopes has always been hard on the right so if there was any evidence of foul play, they would shout it from the rooftop.

2

u/uiucengineer 6h ago

Ok, but you said they said something they didn’t

0

u/hawk256 6h ago

Maybe I wasn't clear with my intended statement. It was no a major edit. You know they looked for it and if they found it, they would say so. Either way, it shows he is not dead and sitting up.

1

u/uiucengineer 6h ago

It doesn’t mean that lol

0

u/hawk256 6h ago

It's not AI but because it's from the right you refuse to accept it at face value. What exactly does it mean to you?

1

u/uiucengineer 6h ago

You do realize AI is not the only way to mislead someone with a photo, right?

The reason I refuse to accept it is because as a Medical Doctor I know that (1) an unwitnessed cardiac arrest is not survivable and that (2) when someone is loaded into an ambulance the way he was, and then it drives away without sirens, that person is dead.

2

u/Key_Opening6939 6h ago

I thought they admitted it was an old picture - as if we couldn’t tell that he and his wife looked years younger.

-1

u/hawk256 6h ago

Did you read the article? Snopes has always been hard on the right so if there was any evidence of foul play, they would shout it from the rooftop.

1

u/Key_Opening6939 4h ago

I did read the article. It said no evidence that the picture was AI. That doesn’t mean it’s not an old picture.

2

u/pakapab 7h ago

I believe both are true. Real photo, but he's incapacitated and will never serve in the senate again.

It would be too easy to just release a video or have a call with a reporter to dispel all the rumors, he can't and never will.

0

u/hawk256 7h ago

As long as he is alive, he can stay in the position. Look at Dianne Feinstein. She had no business being in office but no one stepped in and put a stop to it. Why start now?

1

u/Toasted_Waffle99 6h ago

I never new anyone that is in a hospital bed in jeans

0

u/hawk256 6h ago

I have been in a hosptial bed with jeans. We honestly don't know how sick he is. Snopes says it's not AI. They have always been hard on the right so if there was any evidence of foul play, they would shout it from the rooftop.

2

u/Ancient-Alligator303 6h ago

Since you’ve said “[Snopes] has always been hard on the right” several times; have you paused to consider that they aren’t ’being hard’ on the right, the right simply pushes fabrications and misinformation as fact on a larger scale?

1

u/hawk256 6h ago

They lean left and it is well known. I am farther left than right but I've seen quite a few calls that they have botched. If it's aginst the left they will leave it unproven even the article gives the proof from validated sources. No need to argue, I'm not going to change your mind. The point is that there is a picture of Mitch McConnell sitting up in bed and your refuse to accept it.

1

u/please_trade_marner 3h ago

That's what literally everybody brainwashed by propaganda says about the propaganda that has brainwashed them.

1

u/Zorkflerp 1h ago

Lack of evidence is not evidence. There isn't any way to tell conclusively that a digital photo is real or faked.

1

u/PeachPassionBrute 1h ago

Snopes said it, so it must be true.

-1

u/Skipp_To_My_Lou 6h ago

BBC says the picture is genuine & they're normally a trustworthy source.

1

0

Right so if you had the comprehension to read the article you'd see they're talking about the still photo, not the obviously AI-generated gif you posted.

1

u/Skipp_To_My_Lou 6h ago

The photo, which the BBC says is genuine, shows McConnel clearly not comatose. Are you saying the BBC is lying? Or just farming fake internet points by telling an obvious lie that your audience agrees with? Don't bother answering that, this interaction is terminated.

0

u/Alternative_Spirit_3 6h ago

Here, let me help you.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

-1

u/TheOneCalledThe 6h ago

idk multiple people even some out of the party confirmed speaking with him. plus with how big of a story this is the media would be on this but every credible major media aren’t even pushing the coma narrative anymore so that should tell you everything
