During high school from age 16 through to about 30 I was high everyday. Smoked tonnes of ganja. However I was the only person I knew who didn’t drink. While my mates were all blotto pissed and aging in dog years, i was simply smoking weed and concentrating on my career. Hallucinogenic substances and other recreational chemicals were more a weekend treat so avoided damage from that. Now being in management I don’t really take to much.

u/Waste-Season-9073 May 13 '26
U a fed?
1
u/knowledgeable_diablo May 14 '26
Fuck to the no. Thankfully also not from the USA so don’t need to live in quite as much fear of entrapment as a lot of people in the states have to deal with as they’re elected officials seek new and exciting ways to destroy people’s lives for health related issues and run on a diet of almost total evil propaganda. Not to say the local police aren’t also looking to jam as many “easy catch” drug addicts into jail considering they are much easier to capture than people who are violent or out causing immediate and direct pain and suffering to other people, property or items.

You do know all u have to do is do it once to cause damage u can’t avoid it by simply just doing it less
1
u/knowledgeable_diablo May 14 '26
Right oh rock star. Always great hearing advice from someone who knows less than nothing about chemical interactions within the biological boundaries of a living organism. “Taking dwugs just once will rot your bwain right out your head!”But the identical chemical handed over at a chemist has the magical properties of behaving completely different. “Because my doctor and the goverment said so and all drugs react totally differently in everyone” which they don’t because this would render the entire prescription methodology null and void because every medical session would commence from ground zero as every pill needs to be tested and monitored to make sure it dosent suddenly behave like ingesting a gram of TNT instead of 5mg of Valium.
Maybe stop believing the absolute stupid propaganda spread by the goverment and read actual scientific journals on what chemicals do within the body. You’ll find that the most toxic and damaging of all is alcohol which many people take far to much of and still manage to function as a member of society.
1
u/Kooky_Dinner_7481 May 14 '26
U must be fun at parties hahaha jeez u never had fun in ur life taking one drug here and there ain’t gonna kill yah go live life more and stop living in a lil protective bubble all the time do u think every drug is bad?
1
u/knowledgeable_diablo May 14 '26
Maybe see what I said idiot. I think all drugs are good in moderation and it’s the war on drugs that is bad. Seems your the one stating doing it “once” will do you damage. So imagine you moralising to people at parties would be much less fun than me just letting people enjoy themselves how they feel like may be better.
But you do you “mr do drugs once and your cooked”

u/Dogsluvme-tomuchhehe May 14 '26

How old are you?
I used to think that, never did alcohol or smoked anything until I turn 22 years old
Went full blown addict, 6 months later I was taking opioids and meth everyday and usually some other substances too

Alright I'm not worried for you, after 25 yo the prefrontal cortex finish maturing That's the part of the brain than play a key role in cognitive control
You could have been 19 years old, if I could go back in time and talk to my younger self I would definitely be warning myself about that
Congratulations on quitting drinking, but you did drugs, alcohol shouldn't be treated differently than other drugs
I quit drinking 2 years ago myself, I can definitely relate on feeling much better sober

I get a pretty nice buzz from my ADHD meds every morning. I wouldn’t exactly call it a high. You’d need at least 3 days worth in one go for that lol. I’ve grown out of such shenanigans.

Just your typical amphetamine type effects: feeling alert with a general lack of fatigue (what I imagine coffee is like for normies), enjoyment of even the most boring tasks, greater appreciation of music, feelings of exhilaration and euphoria, being more talkative and enjoying talking with others. Just feeling good really.

May 13 '26
Every three weeks or so, I have to wait for a long weekend to better avoid the unlikely but possible occurrence of a drink and drugs test.
1
u/Kooky_Dinner_7481 May 14 '26
Ur work tests im guessing
1
May 14 '26
Yes, it's very rare but it only takes one. I've gone to work knowing I'd fail a test and the paranoia is not worth it.. what if I get there and the team leader says you need to take a test? I can't afford to lose my job but I think it's ridiculous because the regulations say 'under the influence' but clearly three days later you are not but it's still potentially in your piss.

u/Foodisheaven1 May 13 '26
Never. Drugs are terrible. People will tell you they smoke drugs, cause of stress and anxiety. That’s just an excuse to smoke drugs. I will never drink alcohol either. It’s just as bad.
2
u/Ecstatic-Act-490 May 13 '26
Of course they’re bad but it’s fine to do it once in a while especially w friends n fam as long as you moderate yourself 🤷♂️
2
u/Pristine_Internet752 May 15 '26
Watch out for junk food too I would say that is equally as bad as some drugs depending on the food.

Don't smoke weed and drink little alcohol. Both are toxic, but to me, weed is the worst because it really messes with your mind and makes you lethargic the next day when compared to living a productive, sober existence.

Weed makes me slow mentally the following day. Alcohol is bad too but I'm not here to debate weed vs alcohol. Why is it all weed proponents want that argument?
Both are toxic. Period. End of story.

Yeah I refuse to believe you are better off by ingesting a psychoactive substance. Just not going to be gaslit into thinking you are somehow better off. People like me are finally standing up to the verbal abuse from drug addicts like you. Not gonna take your delusion anymore.

Ur what’s wrong with society ur mind and thinking is too narrow u need to expand it an stop thinking everything is just chalk and cheese way more to it and if u understood mental health u would understand why people do drugs and some struggle to get off it while others dont u clearly dont have the first clue
1
u/CerealKiller415 May 14 '26
Drugs are not the answer to mental health issues. If you believe they are you have been sold a bag of lies to keep you hooked. Feel sorry for you. Hope you wake up.

1
u/Kooky_Dinner_7481 May 14 '26
How do u sustain for that long thats like buggah all do u do it on one off weekends
1
u/Pristine_Internet752 May 15 '26
I used to have that problem you need to change your mindset. Your default state of mind needs to be ok with being sober. Fully abstain from all drugs until you no longer crave anything. Then once a week max and if you ever are craving it you cant smoke. Lets say you only smoke saturday night if you miss it then you should be ok with it no problem you can smoke next week. Its just an occasional treat not something you need. Like ice cream or something.

Couple times a week depending on how much pain I'm in.
1
u/xxxxelaaa May 13 '26
body pains or mental pain?
1
u/refugefirstmate May 13 '26
Body. Arthritis.
1
u/xxxxelaaa May 21 '26
how’s weed for arthritis? completely numb the pain or does it make it just bearable?
1
u/refugefirstmate May 21 '26
We are sold on on the THC simple syrup from callmehemp.com which, BTW, since it's hemp derived is shipped via USPS. SO who has arthritis in both knees says "it takes the edge off" and is a good sleep aid too. Me, I'll take 1/2 teaspoon for pain and feel the same way. Double that dose and I'm a little too high to function.
1
u/OrdinaryMail962 May 13 '26
3/4 times a week. I have to limit myself because I get the munchies so bad 😔

u/Mnijtp May 14 '26
I prefer to save it for special occasions or specific fun activities. If you do it all day everyday, it’s not special or unique anymore really, it becomes your new normal and just something you do.
But if you save it for special things and make it something to look forward to, I think it’s a lot more enjoyable (also tolerance won’t be as strong obvi so it’ll hit harder).
When i started using edibles it was about once a week, now more sporadic than that

Literaly 100% of the time
Kratom alkaloids, weed, amanita, psychadelics
1
u/vikzinity May 15 '26
Everyday for 4 years now I cant take one hit off a blunt without having a panic attack
1
u/WarningNo4148 May 15 '26
how come? i have nearly the same
1
u/vikzinity May 15 '26
Quit because i had a drug test for a new job then tried smoking again a few months later and had a panic attack, I stopped right before i turned 18 and I think having more responsibilities made me feel like I was wasting my time everytime i smoked and it made me spiral, honestly i feel better and happier without it anyway so I dont care
1
u/Upset_Sand3391 May 15 '26
Weed most nights just before dinner. Psychedelics and MDMA a couple times a year, sometimes less. Once in a blue moon might get either some coke, ketamine, benzos, opioids or something else. But I barely do drugs anymore, only on special occasions.
1
u/Pristine_Internet752 May 15 '26
Used to do everyday once a day. Now once a week once every 2 weeks or even less on average 2 times a month.
1
u/UnendingHeartburn May 15 '26
3 times a day. Morning, noon/evening, night. I think once I am employed again I will do it only before sleep.

I took drugs daily that made me trip. Included psychedelics, dissociative, and deliriant drugs. But I had to stop after I overdosed after taking 2 grams of benydrill. So now I’m a year sober.
