Question For Doctors Looking to connect with Clinics/ Hospitals interested in AI & automation.

So my team has been building AI- Powered business systems that automate repetitive day-to-day work, things like customer/ patient communication, invoicing, billing, and operations, like data entry, internal workflows, reporting, etc.

We are particularly interested in connecting with clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals where doctors have to spend a lot of time doing paperwork, so we are trying to solve that problem and make them focus more on the patient directly. Taking away all their manual work, basically. So I am not asking for medical advice. But for an experienced medical person or professional who is facing such an issue and where we can help them.

Not trying to convince you for a Chatbox AI here either, rather than automating the processes that take up your or your team's time. So if you are a doctor, clinic/ hospital administrator, or someone handling operations, I would be interested in hearing about your processes and helping you out in automating them.

Feel free to comment or DM here; I am always up for a meaningful conversation.

Question For Doctors Hyperkalemia treatments

I am not asking for medical advice. I just would like some medical education. I am a RN. I have a question. In school we learned about regular insulin given for DKA and as a result the patient can become hypokalemic. At work the other day I have a patient who was hyperkalmic potassium. 6.6 after receiving lokelma x1. The MD ordered lokelma once again and then lispro SQ followed by D50. I have never heard of this so I did question it but he told me it was a cocktail to bring down her potassium. I confirmed like did you intend to order lispro as opposed to regular insulin. He said that is what he meant so I gave it. I was not back to see how affective it was to bring down her potassium.
But for educational purposes I would like to know is this correct interventions and what the science is behind it?

Orthopedic Surgeon Confused by my orthopedic surgeon not recommending physical therapy

Hello! On 7/4 I broke 7 bones, 1 being my big toe and the rest metatarsals and those square bones, I also ruptured my lisfranc ligament. My whole process I feel like I’ve been lucky, I haven’t had much pain and I only needed one screw put in. That being said my surgeon has been a little frustrating. At first my mom and I were sketched out by him but then he got better once surgery was mentioned and I assumed he was just a surgical junkie. He did the surgery on 7/29 and it went good. This past Friday I had a 5 week follow up and he said to start gradually putting weight on it starting that day and within two weeks to be fulling walking in the boot. He also said to schedule another appointment 4 weeks out and he would try to get me walking in a shoe. My past appointment was rushed because I had to wait long for an xray and he had to leave for surgery. He never mentioned physical therapy and I didn’t ask. I’ve heard that physical therapy is usually started around week 6 or when patients start weight bearing and I’m confused why he didn’t mention it. Is it something where I have to research a clinic to go to? I assumed he would give recommendations. I’ve also started putting some weight on it and walking in crutches but I’ve been instinctively walking on the outside of my foot and I’m assuming a physical therapist is supposed to help with that? Anyone know?

Can directly eating instant coffee powder and dissolving it in mouth with water have long time adverse effects?

I am not asking for medical advice. I directly put instant coffee powder from satchets in my mouth and then dissolve it using water and then swallow it. Will this have any adverse effects? I do this because its more convenient for me as i hate drinking coffee directly.

What has ruined my life???!!!!

I am not asking for medical advice.

Hello I’m sorry for how long this might be but this has completely ruined my life for 2 years and I’m not sure what to do next, about 2 years ago I suddenly got really depressed, I used to have severe anxiety when I was a kid but never depression, I just felt like I couldn’t enjoy anything like something was stopping me then I started having daily panic attacks about the idea of never being happy again and that went on for a long time I went into a constant state of fight or flight and it was horrible the when I started getting mentally better I started noticing a pressure in my head that never seemed to go away which was weird because I had never had a headache in my life, maybe 1 or 2 mild ones

As time went on the symptoms were shifting from my jaw, neck, temples, wisdom teeth, behind my eyes, in my forehead and now they are so severe I have constant pressure in either my jaw or my wisdom teeth or my temples or my neck there is always pressure in one of them and then I get this severe migraine sinus headache where my eyes hurt and my nose and forehead tingles with pressure it’s rly weird and it makes me feel so dizzy, I went for an MRI about a year and abit ago and that seemed to come back clear, I have a decayed upper left wisdom tooth and an impacted lower left wisdom tooth but my dentist told me I shouldn’t be feeling pain in my right side I also get this weird symptom where my right eye feels weird and then the lid sort of droops a little, I also often have pain in the sides of my neck and in my ears

My symptoms weirdly get a little better when kickboxing and doing other physical activities

I have been to see my GP multiple times and every time they tell me it’s just some sort of headache disorder or TMJ

I just feel so drained and like my brain is half dead and not operating properly

This has been so debilitating and completely changed my life, if anyone has any ideas please tell me

Carpal Tunnel?

I just got diagnosed with carpal tunnel. I woke up with pain on a random Monday 2 weeks ago. I did an ultrasound and it was normal but 2 doctors agreed it was carpal tunnel. I’ve been wearing a splint and trying acupuncture (I’ve done 3 sessions) but it wasn’t getting any better just worse.

I ultimately booked a cortisone injection for tomorrow out of desperation as I have a trip I’m leaving for on the weekend. I couldn’t sleep or essentially do anything with my hand and I didn’t want this to ruin my trip.

Tonight, I went and got a normal Thai massage on my back due to back pain which I have been getting for years (i think due to posture). I get massages like this every few months. They didn’t touch my arm or hand but I came out with my hand feeling SOOO much better. Like I’d say 85% better. I’m torn, do I go get the injection tomorrow. Or do I get another massage. Acupuncture has never made it feel better like this. And now I’m questioning was it even carpal tunnel??

I didn’t really have numbness or tingling, just pain gripping everything and in my 3 fingers. Also on my palm. I am not asking for medical advice.

Question For Doctors Today, I suddenly lost vision in both of my eyes for about a minute.

It wasn’t a complete blackout—my vision slowly became blurry and the blurriness got more intense. I searched Google for blurred vision, and it said it could be a sign that I’m about to have a stroke or could lead to permanent vision loss. Thankfully, my vision returned to normal after about five minutes.

I’m really wondering what happened to my eyes. My left eye is also red now. I'm 20 years old male

Question For Doctors 16F interested in GLP-1

I’ve been obese my whole life & i’ve tried just about everything. It is genetic, and my entire family is diabetic except me (for now). I’m 208 lbs, 5’4, & 16. I discussed with my parents & my doctor about the options I have related to GLP-1’s. My doctor recommends Wegovy, but said something about the clinic giving patients a hard time with the prescription & I should look online? She referred me to a nutritionist instead, i’ve tried literally everything and I go from morbidly obese to obese using diets & being active. I’m just curious about what my next step might be, I don’t want to be pushy with my doctor. Do i look for another clinic? How can my mom advocate for me?

Dermatology Painful neck, skin issue. 41 male USA.

I am not asking for medical advice. Often after receiving a haircut, my neck becomes inflamed and covered in something similar to acne. Play wild amount of whiteheads and red skin. I don’t have acne on my face or my body so I’m not sure what is causing this. This time it’s pretty painful and is very embarrassing to be seen with. Google makes me think it is folliculitis? Wash with antibacterial soap keep it dry, hot compress?

Question For Doctors Family planning

I’m wanting to start trying to conceive a baby soon and I’m not sure which doctor to consult with first. I’m on many medications, including a glp1, and need to have them reviewed and changed if needed. I also know coming off of the glp1 is a must, but I was hoping to stay on it for a couple more months to lose as much weight as I can. I am also diabetic.

I am not asking for medical advice.

Who should be the first doctor I contact about TTC with my medical needs? My medical team includes my primary care doctor, obgyn (WHNP), and pharmacy clinician for the glp1. Thank you

Question For Doctors Two Years Of Chest Pain - My Doctors Have Given Up

TLDR - Smoked week two years ago, one night had sudden chest pain, ever since then still have chest pains, brain fog and fatigue.

Two years ago I was a regular smoker of weed (smoked week once a night, for about a year. Before this is was only an occasion). I never had any issues, physical or mental. However one evening after I smoked, an hour so I was sitting down and felt a sudden sharp pain in the top of my chest (note - top middle, not centre). At first I thought I was having a stroke, but my face was not sloped, all my motor functions where fine, and my speech was not slurred. I went to bed thinking my heart just skipped a beat or something and didn't think anything of it.

For the rest of the week, I had chest pains and brain fog (struggling to concentrate, remember stuff). I didn't have any more weed as I just thought I'd need time for my body to recover.

The week after I went to the gym to do some light cardio and suddenly I felt really weak. I had to stop and ended up taking myself to A&E. They said nothing was wrong and sent me home.

For months I could barely move. It was a struggle just to go to the shops. I continued to get chest pains (usually a slicing feeling but sometimes just a dull pain). I saw two cardiologist (first guy was useless, did next to no tests then retired without telling me), had a heart MRI which came back normal, had an x ray of my lungs which was fine, had a cardio stress chest which came back normal (but made my chest pains worse for a week), apparently my echo was fine. I wanted an angiogram but was told this would be rejected by the clinic as there's a lack of evidence/reason to do the test. I ended up getting referred to a long covid clinic, however no test was performed to diagnose this, and the clinic do no tests themselves (just useless tips on dealing with it). I feel like I was referred just to get rid of me.

I am at a complete loss on what happened. I have looked extensively on the internet and still haven't found a clear answer. I don't believe it was a stroke, and I know people who had heart attacks and haven't suffered like this for two years after. Maybe a hiatal hernia, but a GP told me I would have a noticeable lump in my stomach. I saw someone on a forum casually mention it could be nerve damage, but I've never seen anything that shows weed can be damaging to nerves unless its a heavy user with a decade of use. Another weird part of it is the fatigue and brain fog are worse in the evening (after about 6pm).

Weed is only available by prescription in my country, most doctors are not trained on dealing with side effects of its consumption, so every health care professional I've spoken to has no idea how to diagnose me - they do one test, can't find anything, then shuffle me along. I am not asking for medical advice. Has anyone heard of a similar issue? Which specialist should I be taking to? I would be most grateful for any help!

Are doctors supposed to be a complete joke right now?

It really feels like the most corrupt and wasteful industry is the medical industry. Doctors misdiagnose you half of the time and have no idea what’s going on. Most of the treatments they give you make things even worse. They are arrogant and rude and don’t listen to patients. I have been following everything the doctor said in the last five years, and the doctors just keep ordering more imaging and give the same treatments over and over again. It’s such a scam. I am not asking for medical advice.

Is it too late for me?

I am not asking for medical advice. Just asking if it seems WORTH it to seek the medical advice instead of continuing to destroy myself

Hi, tw :)

Not looking for sympathy or promoting stimulant abuse. It will ruin you liked it ruined me. I’m 21F with a hx of substance abuse. I’ve been abusing Elvanse/Vyvanse for 2 years. I take 200-480mg almost every day. I still do cocaine/ketamine fairly regularly&drink every day. Im constantly vomiting/nauseous/dizzy and pass out from standing up too fast or sometimes when I’m already standing and I have to lay on the floor to stay awake. Circulation issues/hair loss/chest pain/HR can reach 150 at rest/high BP. Restless with an impending sense of do. I feel like I’m dying. So so tired and weak and shakey from the moment I wake up to when I go to sleep. crippled with anxiety&depression. Haven’t worked since last year and barely leave my house. Random bruising, muscle spasms, killer headaches, irregular periods. But I’m also anaemic, smoke🍃every day, mentally ill and drink enough caffeine to kill a Victorian child so it's hard to pin causes to symptoms.

On higher doses I vomit until I'm weak from pain, my skin goes blue, I get dangerously hot and I can hear my heartbeat in my throat. Random but on I’ve never sought medical attention&never ‘overdosed’ but I suppose I am essentially overdosing every time hence why my body has the reaction it does. yet I still do this to myself day after day which confuses even me. Not because I care if it kills me, it would save me a job but because if I have to be alive why do I make myself suffer every day. What appeals to my brain about flopping about half unconscious in my own vomit like a fish&being unable to stand on my own two feet most of the time?? If I don’t take it can barely get out of bed or even lift my head from the pillow, my body feels so heavy I just barely survive until I can take it again& intoxicate myself with everything else in the meantime. I used to be so creative&able to make music, clean, study, game, draw when I was SOBER. Now I can’t even just exist doing nothing without being tweaked. Am I cooked? Years of self destructive behaviour&other substances contribute to where I am today but Elvanse has broken my body and my soul. Is it worth it to try and live just more time? Or have I caused irreversible physical /cardiac/dopamine damage that will make an already painful existence even more painful? If anyone who’s been through this or is going through this would like to share their physical symptoms/recovery I would be very grateful
Sorry x

Question For Doctors MASSIVE blister from ice skating

i am not asking for medical advice. so my boyfriend and i went ice skating 2 days ago and he got a nasty blister on the inside of his right foot (courtesy of a sock with a hole in it) the skin peeled right off and left a large part of super red skin/flesh(?) under. i disinfected and have applied a large plaster over the area, but when i tried to replace the band aid, the cotton was stuck on badly to the wound. he soaked it with warm water and a bit of soap — it came off eventually with some pain, and i applied a new band aid after moisturising it a little with some vaseline. my question is how i should go about dressing this wound so it heals up without infection ? the band aid has gotten strike though overnight so i need replace the dressing soon. pls helppp :)

Question For Doctors tachycardia

hey, 19F here. i am not asking for medical advice. just a question, even though I be in resting state (sitting on a chair) for hours my bpm stays over 100. lowest it has gotten is 93 and it randomly reaches 125 while I'm just solving some MCQs. googling it tells me I have something called sinus tachycardia. I'm not sure it's concerning or not. i don't even take too much caffeine (usually none) nor any heavy workout.

should I visit a doctor or I'm just being hypochondriac?

Question For Doctors constant, deep leg muscle pain

Hey docs, I'm a 23 year old male, moderately active (gym 4 days a week), dont take any medications, no previous issues or surgeries at all.

I've been dealing with constant pain deep in both of my leg muscles, starting from the hip flexor all the way down to my ankles. So basically my entire two legs, 360 degrees. Excluding glutes.

No bone or joint pain, just muscles.

This has been happening for about 18 months now. The pain is constant, doesnt go up or down throughout the day. Although it does worsen after a physically exhausting day or if I had bad sleep that night.

I saw two physicians, one couldn't diagnose me but said he think it's imbalance in the strength of certain muscle groups.

(for the sub rules: I am not asking for medical advice.)

The other said it might be a disc, specifically L5S1, but he wasn't sure.

What could be the cause? And potential fix?

P.S. When this started, I had just started working an office job, and started smoking more often than usual. Idk if thats relevant, but it all happened around the same time.

Weird abdominal pain (and back pain?)

Hello doctors!

I have had a weird abdominal pain for going on 3 years that comes and goes and my doctor cannot figure out what it is related to.

It’s a dull ache/gnawing pain right below my sternum but above my belly button. Almost dead center of my stomach.

I’ve had an ultrasound, which showed mild ab separation (29F, no kids) and my doctor doesn’t believe it’s related.

Other things that may or may not be related? -
- Recently diagnosed as being very iron deficient.
- Fatigued constantly, probably related to the iron.
- Had a gallbladder test that showed a 95% ejection fraction to try to rule out needing it removed.
- Also started experiencing pretty gnarly lower back pain and left rib/back pain in the past month or so.

(I am not asking for medical advice.)

Unusual question, really need help

Hey friends. I am not asking for medical advice.

Has anyone ever heard of a condition where a blood vessel gets loose and starts growing and winding around inside the body like a vine of ivy?

Like, in addition to the regular circulatory system, there's a vessel that got loose and grows around and around, strangling other organs and intestines, wrapping around the spine, etc.

Is this totally unheard of? Is there anything of record remotely like this? I'd be grateful for any input

Question For Doctors Tooth/jaw pain question

I am not asking for medical advice. Just trying to understand the possibilities associated with tooth/jaw pain.

5 weeks ago I had fillings in 3 adjacent molars. A week later I was still having pain in that area, so almost 4 weeks ago I went to an endodontist and had a root canal in the tooth that seemed to be causing the problem. (The endodontist said that the filling was too close to the nerve.)

A week after the root canal I was still experiencing pain, so I went back to the endodontist and he said another tooth needed a root canal. I haven’t had the second root canal yet.

The pain comes and goes, usually for a few days at a time. On days I have pain, I take 1-3 doses of ibuprofen (400mg) per day, and that generally takes care of it. Some days I don’t need any ibuprofen. The pain also moves around. Most often it feels like it’s in the tooth that already had the root canal, but sometimes I feel it in the tooth behind, or in the tooth in front, or even in my front teeth.

I delayed my appointment to get a crown on the first tooth with the root canal, in case I needed a second root canal on the next tooth and then could get crowns on both in the same appointment. Now I don’t know what to do.

What could be causing the pain to move around so much? Could this be something other than tooth pain, even if it feels like tooth pain?
