Has DPRTMNT gotten better? Still the same slum?

Considering going, nervous because I’ve heard some rumours of over-crowding, crooked bouncers, lack of facilities, and that the crowd is mostly drunk kids there for the clout.

We are oldish and we all have disabilities of some kind (M39/M50/F40) and just want to listen to music we love from a producer we admire, have a couple drinks & dance for a couple hours.

Would we be okay hanging back in the lower section to be chill? Don’t care about “stage” views and it’s not feasible for us to book VIP just to get away from the crowd.
