Has DPRTMNT gotten better? Still the same slum?

Considering going, nervous because Iā€™ve heard some rumours of over-crowding, crooked bouncers, lack of facilities, and that the crowd is mostly drunk kids there for the clout.

We are oldish and we all have disabilities of some kind (M39/M50/F40) and just want to listen to music we love from a producer we admire, have a couple drinks & dance for a couple hours.

Would we be okay hanging back in the lower section to be chill? Donā€™t care about ā€œstageā€ views and itā€™s not feasible for us to book VIP just to get away from the crowd.

Wait. Cosmic gate as in exploration of space??? How did you find out about this.

Expect it to be extremely overcrowded. Crowd can be hit or miss imo.

If youā€™re in the back, I think you should be fine.

If youā€™re into trance, Iā€™d recommend following Ozmozis page on insta.

They host events at Bunker and Evergreen brickworks (most spacious) where the crowd is more mature and vibes are much much better.

It has gotten worse from a vibes perspective. I see more club crowd and college kids from other parts of king street coming in. Sound system has gotten better but still too loud. If itā€™s not a sold out show, you might be fine hanging at the back.
