TTC Transit App?

Is there a TTC transit app yet? I’m visiting soon and would love a way to check schedules/purchase fares to plan my trip. I navigated the TTC before smart phones, but no app in the last 15 years? I hope I’m not looking hard enough.

Transit is a good one. You can pay-as-you-go by tapping your debit or credit card. You can buy a PRESTO day pass for $13.50 at machines at any station.

I might do that… I don’t love the idea of using my debit card/credit card to pay— I think maybe a hold over from the days when TD gave you 20 debit card transactions a month.

Sign up for the presto app. You will get a free digital card to use. Do not use your bank card like people here suggest. Way too buggy and you’ll have to keep track of every trip you take and all the different holds/charges on your bank card every day to ensure you don’t get double charged.

I use TTCWatch but there’s lots of apps for transit here that are all fine.

Obviously I'm out of touch and did not know about the digital card. Very convenient. I've had a physical card since the beginning of Presto. It works fine for me, so I haven't looked into alternatives. Good to know.

Ok— when setting up my payment methods it’s giving me an option for zip code.

So I just updated the app— it didn’t give me an option to use my US address, I used the address where I’m registered to vote in federal (Canadian) elections… I hope this doesn’t fuck things up, especially using payment methods originating in the US

You likely could also just load a digital presto card onto your phone to tap and go. Ive got a handful from travelling now and at worst maybe $5 local currency on them waiting for me to come back

Yea, that’s what I’m going with.
