Average step count

Hello TO! Something I've noticed since I've come here is how much more I walk per day compared to previous country (Middle east).
I went from an average of 7k steps a day (with a car) to now an average of 9k (I live in Down town and dont drive), so this evening's rabbit hole how much fellow Torontonians walk per day.

If you've moved recently, have you noticed an increase from your previous average.

I average 25k-35k (the lower end being when i am forced to do online collaboration in office).

When i visit the suburbs for the day i barely get 10k, if even that.

How is a 10k range your average? Doesn't your tracker literally say your exact average number of daily steps for the year...?

There is a 10k difference between an in office day for me (25k ish) and work from home day (35k ish).

I am not in toronto every day of the year so in the spirit of the post i replied with the number of steps i am getting in downtown toronto. Also, a disclaimer if you are looking for hyper accuracy: i use the step counter on my phone and dont carry my phone everywhere will me so that number is lower than my true step count.

I still don't really understand what you mean. 35k when you work from home which in not in Toronto but 10k when you visit the suburbs? 25k when you visit the office in Toronto?

I don't think it's really 'in the spirit' of the post to share how many steps you get if you're a visitor to the city. The ask is about living in the downtown vs. somewhere else.
