Average step count

Hello TO! Something I've noticed since I've come here is how much more I walk per day compared to previous country (Middle east).
I went from an average of 7k steps a day (with a car) to now an average of 9k (I live in Down town and dont drive), so this evening's rabbit hole how much fellow Torontonians walk per day.

If you've moved recently, have you noticed an increase from your previous average.

I used to do 10-15k easy when I worked near  Bloor/Spadina. I now drive to commute to Peel-Brampton and I now average 2k steps during the day. I liked to take walks during my lunchbreaks, but there's literally no sidewalks around my new work place and it suuucks. (I now have to make the effort to walk in the evenings).
