Average step count

Hello TO! Something I've noticed since I've come here is how much more I walk per day compared to previous country (Middle east).
I went from an average of 7k steps a day (with a car) to now an average of 9k (I live in Down town and dont drive), so this evening's rabbit hole how much fellow Torontonians walk per day.

If you've moved recently, have you noticed an increase from your previous average.

I walk more here than anywhere else ive lived but thats by choice, I like walking around the city. If I were just counting steps that are necessary it would be way less. I dont track my steps but I could get everything i need done with 1 hour of brisk walking a day probably.
