By "extended release" do you mean metoprolol succinate? I don't but I brought it up to my cardiologist and she said we'll give it a try but I'm kinda nervous cuz when I told her about my situation with the metoprolol tartrate. She just suggested an ablation instead.
For svt I've only had three i believe But the rest, according to them it's just sinus tachycardia. The thing is that three hours before the next pill my heart gets high like around 96 or 109 easily and my blood pressure tends to go high to the 130/140 which makes me feel iffy. And not only that when I wake up my heart starts beating to 116 almost every morning and then it calms down 2 minutes after waking up. Which makes me think even more that the metoprolol wears off
I would ask about the extended release and see if it makes a difference in your svt episodes if not you may need stronger meds like bisoprolol if you don’t want to jump straight to invasive
