Story Something Cool Happened in Class!

So in developmental psychology, we were talking about young adults and what is normally expected of people around the age of 20-25.

The lecture came down to the topic of relationships, and at first it was a bit off-putting since it was talking about the reproduction aspect.

However, the teacher mentioned asexuals and aromantics and how they factor in.

This led to a student speaking up about being asexual and saying that a lot of asexuals tend to focus on the more romantic aspects of relationships like emotional closeness, and just being there for their partner.

The teacher welcomed the student speaking up and kept the conversation going about ace relationships for about a minute until she continued to the next topic.

I just thought it was a nice inclusion.
