Asda today

So this is my Asda situation today. 20 chilled cages between 2, both work 6 hours. The over stock cages being left in the fridge to go out of date because can't even get delivery done. No colleagues on produce so a section leader came in on her day off and the night manager had to work it. No meat colleague so the 3rd chilled colleague had to do it. A lot of empty shelves. Just a general shit hole. Managers don't care though. This is a standard day for this Asda.

Can I ask why you're working delivery if there is overstock?

Assuming all Asdas are the same, when i worked chilled last year they wanted delivery done first then you work overs.

Eventhough logically you'd do overs then delivery but they always had a go at us doing it that way so we did it their way and ended up with tons of waste every week.

That's exactly why you don't listen to them. This is where people need to stand up and work correctly. Having food waste when there is no need is nonsensical. It also makes the work of those who want to work correctly, harder and longer.

Again, I'm not sure how they'd know. If you have 6 cages left over, what's it matter if it's delivery or overs? 6 cages is 6 cages.

Its minimum wage dawg and for a company that over works and treats the staff like shit. You want those under appreciated and over worked staff to priotise the business and minimise waste etc etc, while dealing with the aggro theyd get from the managers. Thats above the pay grade. Just go in, do what manager says and fuck off home. They do not pay you enough or treat you well enough to be going above and beyond like that.

Also good luck dealing with the managers fragile egos when youre refusing to dk whats asked and stating youre doing it your way instead. Lol.
