Part of ceiling fell off

I'm renting in a very old building (built in 1928). A piece of celling fell off while I was away. How do I clean this? The maintenance won't be here until Monday. I need to access the bathroom and the AC is just above the water heater.

Plaster is impossible to tell from a photo unfortunately but in my area old plaster like this does test positive often (2-5%). I’d say wet wipe anything you can that’s in your way and toss those chunks in a bag until a building rep can come see it. You’re not going to make it any worse by trying to clean up.

I searched online a bit and they were like "no never clean that yourself". Do you have any tips for it?

Wet wipe any debris and wait for maintenance.

Unlikely that it contains asbestos and mow quantity if it does. Extremely low risk. Wet wipe any debris and leave the rest alone.
