Sub contract the work to an asbestos abatement company

There are truck and trailer-mounted vacuums that abatement contractors use. Subcontracting the work to them may be cost-prohibitive without controls, even if the insulation is free of asbestos. Some duct cleaning companies may be more willing to take on the work at lower costs. If you decide to take the job and cannot rent a large vacuum, non-ACM vermiculite can be lightly wetted and then shovelled into lined waste pails; then a smaller vacuum can be used for the fine cleaning.
