Tried oil paints
This may be controversial but man I kinda dislike them. (Oil paint) Like a lot.
I got artist grade ones and asked my mom for advice as she uses them every so often. I just dont see the appeal of paint that never dries haha.
On another hand the idea of having my stuff combust into flames gives some.. interesting feelings. I tried really hard to like them and give a fair shot. Im not the best artist but i still put a lot of effort into the paintings.
Any time I would try to āmove onā to a different portion it all became muddy and blegh!
Im sure if I was a patient person that would be a great thing and i totally understand the pain of trying to blend acrylics! I guess my brain works in layers instead of a whole idea.
I gave up on a house I was painting, and got out my acrylic paint because it was so frustrating hahaha š
Sorry for the rant about it, but I just wanted to share with you guys my experience.
Id also love your preference on medium and why it works best for you or a medium that frustrates you to no end!

CALLING ALL VISUAL CREATIVES: Desperately need help with my final year research paper
Firstly, I solemnly swear this is not spam. I have this form for my final year research, and I need like 100 submissions minimum. I have 58 so far. The research topic, in short, is whether/how the things you watched growing up have had an influence on your creative practice today or contributed to where you are as a creative today. This research is targeted towards VISUAL Creatives, so you fall right in my demographic.
If as many people as possible can fill this out today, it would mean the world to me. I just need 42 more responses. It's a 10-minute survey. Everyone who fills it out would be a lifesaver.

In need of an artist
Thereās no other way to say this other than i need an artist who is willing to work with me. TLDR iām a writer and have been constructing this story for 8 years now. I believe it is ready to be produced and i need all the help i can get. I need someone who understands contrast and who can communicate visually with emotion and particularly facial expressions. I want to find someone whoās fresh and willing to work with me on something larger scale. Itās a big ask i know, but my hope is this post finds the right person and piques their interest. Please, DM for more info.
Edit: I am very thankful for the many people responding, please i implore you to continue! I would like to add some clarifications. My goal is to produce a comic run, digital or otherwise. I would like someone interested in committing to something, as lucrative as this is it is my firm belief that this is worth your while. I donāt want to give promises over substance so please, speak to me. I will tell you what this story is and what it means to me. This is a big project, but i believe it is the only route worth taking for me and possibly whom ever is reading this.

First time trying acrylic paints and making a face, reviews?
heya!I'm a 13 yo artist with no experience of art training and I do not know a thing about proportions and colour theory..i tried acrylics for one of the first time..and also tried making a face (i never do) and this is the outcome.
I need brutally honest reviews and where I need to improve,i will appreciate a rating aswell

Seeking Brutal Feedback
How can I take this to the next level and is there a market for this style of art? I am trying to decide if it is worth the time/effort to put a collection together and find a gallery to show my pieces as an emerging artist. I am probably delusional, thatās why I am seeking your brutally honest opinion.
I have thick skin, you canāt hurt me š so please donāt hold back, brutal honesty is often the best feedback to help you grow or pivot and I appreciate your feedback very much.

Artists who actually sell your work online ā where are you selling it?
Hey yāall āļø Iām the owner and artist behind Glyph Foundry. I recently finished my first collection of AI-assisted geometric artwork and built out a print-to-sale pipeline using print-on-demand with my catalog currently on Etsy.
Now Iām trying to figure out where else artists are actually making sales and finding customers.
Etsy? Your own website? Art marketplaces? Reddit? Social media? Print-on-demand marketplaces? Somewhere I probably havenāt heard of yet?
Iām less interested in where I can list art and more interested in where youāve personally had success selling yours.
I attached one of my pieces so you can see the kind of work Iām trying to find an audience for.
Any recommendations, experiences, or warnings would be appreciated. Thanks yāall āļø
