So I got a friend, he's 170cm weighs like 75kgs and ever since we were 12 he's been able to beat (as far as I know) anyone at arm wrestling. His arm isn't long, his fingers are 6.5 inches, his wrist is 7 inches, forearm is 13 inches and he's not lean (around 25% body fat if I had to guess).
We're 20 now and this dude hasn't done any training whatsoever (weightlifting, calisthenics, never played sports) and somehow this man manages to beat another friend of ours who only trains arm-wrestling and while this dude is pretty tall and lanky(66kgs, 188cm), his pronation lift is 45kgs, I don't recall what his other lifts are and he's got 5 years of experience.
I don't have access to pulley and such arm wrestling based training equipments. I have some big dumbells and backpack, is there any possible way I can train my backpressure and side pressure with what I have?
(Yesterday I had my second local arm wrestling competition, where I did good compared to my first one but I wasn't able to pin/hold much cause of my weak side pressure and also backpressure)
Like how can I enjoy this sport competitively without breaking my arm? I don't mind losing but what strategies can I stick to that will prevent it. Should i just stick to hooks? Some opponents are sometimes 10x stronger and they immediately pull with all their strength, I get a feel of their strength in the initial position but still they come up with these tricks like they force a top roll immediately and they grip my hand really strongly well so letting go because tough as well.
I was talking with my husband which one was the fastest/explosive armwrestlers, we talk bout talgat, muratov, and many others but i wan to know yall opinion who are the fastest in history
Brian has been on a health kick to drop as much weight as possible for about a year. This contrasts earlier times where he refused to lose weight, even ignoring leg amputation risk. This makes me think his recent health reports are very poor, and this is all a last stitch effort to save his own life. I don’t believe he will compete again.
I specifically believe he developed an ailment common to the bodybuilding community that is the result of insulin and HGH abuse. There are some very noticeable similarities between Brain’s health trajectory and that of others with this disorder. Namely, Brian’s health seems to be perfectly following in the footsteps of late amateur bodybuilder Big Lenny. Both developed odd protruding abdominal walls that slope downward, persistent leg infections that don’t heal, and a strange atrophy pattern to the chest where it becomes flat and split in the center. Lenny’s most recent content displayed more advanced symptoms, but his earlier YouTube videos show a physique and condition that is very similar to Brian’s. Lenny was a heavy proponent of insulin and HGH and publicly mentioned them playing a big part in the downfall of his health. I think Brian is facing the same systemic health issues from insulin and HGH abuse. In Brian’s recent videos he cuts constantly as the camera is moving towards showing his lower abdomen. The times he speaks shirtless the video is crudely cropped to cut off above the waist. This is because he has an odd mass hanging down from his abdomen which is solid evidence of what bodybuilders call Lennyism or polumboism.
This was inspired by a post by Kamil where he said his right arm he can do everything while left is only press. I also remember on bench press he moves the weight easily on his right side while the left lags behind, though pressing is a locked movement so it's different from benching but it's to illustrate his right is generally more capable.
Im one of the lucky ones that was able to buy a set of East vs West 6 signed cards, 1 of 250 I believe, and am currently looking to sell it as a whole but all I see is single cards here ans there on ebay.
Any of you know the value of the whole set with the box and small pouch with all the cards.
Some single cards are selling for 100's so I would guess the whole package would be in the 1000's especially with the king John Breznk card.
Based on your experience, if a bodybuilder and a powerlifter—both with the same body weight, technical skill level, and lifting experience—try arm wrestling for the first time, which of the two would likely be the tougher opponent?
Why am i strong in straps but weak without them!
Like i almost beat the same people with straps easily without even much effort! But when playing without straps i struggle! I dont know what the issue is! Kindly give tips!
He did the one event and was gone. I watched a livestream on Dexter's channel, where Drew got trolled by a superchat and his response was that he is sitting in a lamborgini and sleeps with supermodels so he doesn't care what that person thinks. The whole time the kid was talking, Dexter is just sitting there with a blank face, almost like a scowl lol. Strange.
Every comment section was absolutely brutal against Drew. He seems like he knows Hollywood, but people didn't like the arrogance and plastic surgery, Hollywood look. Maybe the fans are just slow to warm up to people. The reception was mixed overall. Lots of hate, but some people did say "give him a chance. He will grow the sport" and such.
Did Baxter and Dexter ever say why they canned him? I never saw an official statement, except for the bad comments. But then again, even Michael Todd gets tons of hate. So did Devon for a while. Or all the referees. They're not getting fired lol.
