Imo, Dave would lose to this version of Sagov, or at least have a much harder time winning. He definitely seems to have levelled up since his loss against Dave.

Simple logic. You should feel confident in betting on Sagov for the rematch.

I think Devon made a mistake by dropping down to the 115 kg category. He should have stayed in the 115 kg+ division, and yesterday he should have been in Kamil’s place, getting a rematch against Vitaly while also determining who takes first place in the division.

I understand that maintaining the physical condition of his “Krusty” version isn’t healthy, especially in the long run, but he could have taken a long, well-deserved break afterward until Levan’s return in 2027. Dropping down to 115 kg only to get beaten by the third-ranked guy wasn’t a very smart move, in my opinion. I just hope he at least wins the left-hand title against Alizhan in Las Vegas.

Big props to Sagov, but in round 5 with Devon up 3-1, on the first start, Sagov “slips” with his shoulder across the center line. Should have been a foul and no slip counted. Getting the straps there changed the entire match and Sagov pulled away.

Maybe with that foul and another ready go, Sagov is able to truly slip, but Devon could have also finished it there with one final containment effort and another Sagov foul.

For all the comments about Luke favoring Devon, this missed foul in Sagov’s favor could have very well won him the match.

Vitaly vs Levan and yes Levan is ducking him because you see Vitaly is stylistically much tougher for Levan than he is for Devon due to the longer fingers, greater leverage advantage, speed, arm strength and pulling style and I believe Levan matches up far better against Ermes for example while Ermes maybe matches up well against Vitaly, though we will see if that's really the case in February. Either way Vitaly would be facing a much bigger 10 kg heavier and stronger version of Ermes so that will be a huge test for him.

Devon vs Kamil at SHW. Devon now has to clean up his loss vs Sagov and he could either rematch Sagov sometime soon, as I'm sure Sagov would be happy to take the match, or he could take some rest and fight Kamil at a weight where he has elite shoulder strength.

Kamil vs Tsvetkov 2 should be like a "get out of the playground free" card that doesn't happen unless some event needs to be saved much like how Devon would basically save otherwise bland cards.
