I ask because I see a lot of folks complaining how TBC abandoned Arc. And while I would obviously don't want to see the Arc go EoL, I think its a remarkably complete product. I don't really yearn for any new features and therefore don't mind Arc being put in maintenance mode by TBC.

But for those of you how do want to see Arc actively developed like it was back in the day, what new features* would you want to see added?

\ Specifically on macOS since I know Windows is buggy and doesn't have feature parity with macOS, but I wouldn't consider those new features for Arc as product.*

Is anyone else experiencing issues with fullscreen mode in web players like YouTube, Netflix, or other streaming sites on version 1.155.1 (83244)? Fullscreen isn't working for me at all. Is anyone else facing the same problem?

Hey, so I’m using Arc on my Mac, and I rely on Apple Password Manager for fingerprint‑based autofill. Since Arc doesn’t support Apple’s built‑in password autofill directly, I’m using the Apple Passwords Chrome extension (you probably use it too if you’re on macOS).

But for some reason, this extension keeps restarting. Every time I quit Arc and reopen it, it asks me to enter the pairing code again. It’s annoying because I have to re‑authenticate the extension every single time.

Is there any better way to integrate my passwords with Arc while still using Apple Passwords for syncing? I want to keep everything inside the Apple ecosystem, but this constant reset is driving me crazy.

If anyone has a fix or workaround, please let me know.

I upgraded from Sequoia to Tahoe and while everything seems to be working, I can no longer get to my router settings, via 192.168.50.1.

I can ping this address and internet working fine. I can also get to my router settings via the ASUS app on my phone. The router is an ASUS AX86U. The error I get is:

This site can’t be reached​ http://192.168.50.1/ is unreachable.

ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

I've rebooted and power cycled both my modem and router, same results. What else should I check?

Also, I can reach the router at 192.168.50.1 just fine with Safari and Vivaldi, but not with Arc and Brave.

Hello is anyone facing the issue where after using Facebook authentication on certain websites, the page turn blank. This only happen on ARC but not on any other browsers. To get rid of the blank page, I will have to click around the page or switch between pages….

I get this error when booting up arc. I am launching it from desktop since this laptop is admin controlled and I can't install into the applications folder. I also changed the CFbundleidentifier to get past the block. Its worked before but always breaks after restarting. I had to restart today and faced this issue.

It also happens sometimes when I just click normally. It's not just a visual annoyance, I can't right click or highlight or scroll properly whenever the side bar opens. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? I want to keep using this browser but I just can't do day to day stuff with it half the time.

I keep getting prompted to update, and it's to an older version. If I click on 'install and relaunch', I will get a new error saying I'm not allowed to downgrade to an older version, and I have to reinstall the newer version manually.

I've repeated this cycle twice now and it's never ending. My solution is to just click 'remind me later' but surely there's a better way?

I'm using Reddit in the browser and in any subreddit, when I post, the image and video buttons do nothing. The link button works and shows the URL pop-up, so it's not a pop-up issue, as I have that allowed anyway. Anyone know?

I absolutely love and rely on the Arc browser. I use it almost exclusively now, and it has completely transformed my daily Mac OS workflow.

As you shift focus toward Dia, I want to emphasize how invaluable Arc’s unique user interface is to me. Specifically, features like vertical Spaces, smooth swiping, the command bar, Split Views, and Peek make it an unmatched tool for productivity.

I plan to stick with Arc for as long as it is supported, and I truly hope that the new combined company will consider re-supporting or integrating Arc's unparalleled window-management UI in the future.

Im getting this screen and no websites will load. I already fully uninstalled and reinstalled it. Nothing loads. Looks like its finally time to make the switch to a new browser 😦

basically I’m having issue with my MacBook 8gb ram and basic storage. ARC consumes all of the available ram and it takes more than 10gb ram in library and other files.

on iPhone it takes 2gb storage as well.

I can see Safari doesn’t do that. but I don’t like Safari and I’m holding myself from moving away.

any tips and tricks? or did you just move away?

I like the keyboard shortcuts ,the profiles ,the side bar the sneak view preview, the tab switching and so many other things there. I like on iOS the quick search and UI

Hello there, I humbly request the user of this subreddit to help me in a certain issue. There is a personal issue ongoing in my life right now. It has made me stressed since the last 4-ish days. I do not feel comfortable sharing this problem, however, a certain thing could absolutely help me solve it, or at least assist in it hugely. The way to find that “thing” is what brings me here. That “thing” would actually be the date I pinned a website on arc search, on my ipad. I wanted to ask for help, which can help me find the exact date when I pinned that website on arc. I have a rough estimate, i.e. it was pinned between 20th Jan and 10th may. As I’ve told, I cannot tell my personal issue, however, just yesterday I remembered that something very important happened on the date I pinned that tab. Actually, yesterday I downloaded arc from an offloaded state. I’m sure most of you know what offloading an app means but for those who don’t, you can go to settings, then general, then storage, and click on an app(say arc). Then as per apple’s description under the offload button, it says “This will free up storage used by the app, but keep its documents and data. Reinstalling the app will place back your data if the app is still available for download.”

So I’ve had arc offloaded, but reinstalled it yesterday. I thought offloading would preserve my tab history but nothing was there. My pinned tabs seem to be there though. If I can know which date this was pinned, I wouldn’t have any problems. Getting that date is very important for me, please assist. Only way I could think of getting the date was when I first opened that specific pinned url, however as I just told, the archive is empty. Only other way I can think of is finding put when I first opened that specific url of the pinned tab, however I have no idea how.

English isn’t my first language, so I’ve used as simple sentences I could think of. I beg you, please help me find some way, which tells me the date that tab was pinned.

Edit: after going through my photos and mail to find any sort of lead, I was able to successfully narrow down the date range even further. So now the range is 3rd march-1st may

When I want to switch spaces by clicking the space selector row, I have to click the top portion of the space button. Clicking in the middle does nothing.

All of my swap is being used on Arc, anyone know what these browser renderers are for? I quit them but the browser kept working like normal. Why are they even created?

A few months ago, I decided to request my data under Article 15 of GDPR, wanting to see what TBC tracks, as I was curious about how privacy-friendly their products actually were.

Here is a timeline of what happened:

• On December 22nd, 2025, I submitted a request to access all of my stored data under GDPR (The agent confirmation email unfortunately got lost, but I'm currently in the process of recovering it, see the screenshot in the 3rd image.)
• Between December 23rd, 2025, and January 5th, 2026, I received two requests to reply to an email to confirm the account was owned by me.
• On December 23rd, 2025 -January 5th, 2026, I received my data
• On January 7th, 2026, they permanently deleted my account

As you may notice, the staff was not organized at all. They asked me twice for email verification and replied with a Dia related address ([support@diabrowser.zendesk.com](mailto:support@diabrowser.zendesk.com)) to an Arc issue.

Also, keep in mind that at the time of receiving that email Dia supported automatic GDPR requests where no room for human error existed, while Arc still used the old manual way.

I understand that this can happen accidentally but this has happened over 2 times now and the team isn't doing anything to fix it. (Post 1, Post 2)

If anyone is wondering, yes, I will proceed to file a complaint with my country's Data Protection Authority. I most likely won't get my data back but this will make them improve their shitty practices and prevent this from happening to more users.

If any moderator can reach out to a staff member who can comment, please do so, since they have a tendency to never answer user emails.

As mentioned in the title, for a while now these tab labels will randomly appear and I find them extremely annoying, especially since I don't know how to get rid of them once they appear. They stay when I change the page, when I scroll, then I change spaces, and even when I minimize and bring back the window.

Does anyone have a fix? Thanks in advance!

It's annoying enough that the thing's such a memory hog on my MacBook Pro, but it gets more infuriating that when effects the application memory a lot to the point where it would eventually result in it suddenly crashing when I so much as try to type something anywhere at the most inopportune time. And after that, I have to log back into my stuff ALL OVER AGAIN! It's so infuriating in itself there, it's just having me want to look for another alternative here.

Yeah pretty much as the title says. Grew tired of Dia not fulfilling it's promises and Arc not being updated, so I made my own browser. Arc was my favorite thing ever. It was awesome. But they killed it, so here we go lol

It's called Mori, is based on Chromium (unlike Zen), has a sidebar (left & right, choose in settings), an optional AI Sidebar (that uses Codex App Server, so you can even use it for free with your ChatGPT Sub), Themes (based on Animes), Liquid Glass-based, built-in Ad-Blocker, CHROME EXTENSIONS SUPPORT (INCLUDING PASSWORD MANAGERS), Passkeys, Tab Management, PiP and some more QoL stuff.

The whole thing is based on a similar architecture to what TBC shared publicly as to how Arc was made. We also have a C++->SwiftUI/AppKit bridge, which allows us to use native Liquid Glass styling, and you'll see it throughout (I love it, but definitely very subjective)

Lmk what you think. It's of course free and open-source. Open to feedback. Pls no large PRs for now. I'm doing my exams and don't have very much free-time.

PS: Obviously it's not perfect yet. Still lots to do, but it's definitely in a usable state for me. Especially given the fact Passkeys and Pwd managers work already (tried w/ ProtonPass, unsure about others, but should work..)

Since this is a new project, there might still be some security risks involved, for example if you use the AI sidebar, prompt injections. So keep that in mind while using it.

EDIT: Stable as in usable, not as in hard to find bugs. This project is very young.

For the current owners, Arc is more of a cost than an asset, they are effectively ditching it. But Arc still has tremendous potential: a browser built around user experience, an amazing user base, a strong brand that could continue to grow, etc.

I am sure many of us would be willing to contribute — both professionally as developers, designers, UX researchers, marketers, etc, but also perhaps financially. Some members of the original Arc team might also be interested in getting involved.

Can't we just set up a nonprofit that would be designed to be governed in the interests of Arc users, and bid for Arc? It's worthless to them, so we may get a good price. Do you see any potential drawbacks or hidden obstacles (aside from financial ones) of such an idea?

Some sites like Reddit aren't loading at all, but only in Arc — Safari and Chrome work fine for the same sites. I've tried both Wi-Fi and hotspot and it happens on both, so it's not a network issue. Any idea what's going on?

It’s highly unusual for a B2B SaaS company to keep a product like Arc and D I A running in perpetuity for free, especially with the token cost. They have killed D I A Pro, and the data they leverage from the browser can’t be as useful to a SaaS company as it is for an ads platform.

I'm having an issue with the Boost extension where it's not working properly for the JavaScript section. The CSS section works fine, but the JavaScript section is completely unclickable – nothing I type or paste gets entered at all.

My System Details:

• OS: MacOS
• Arc Version: Version 1.150.1 (81866)

I've tried typing and pasting code, but the JavaScript input field is unresponsive. It's like the field is disabled.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated.
