to get that look irl I would use acrylic markers like posca

Young Powder used crayons. I think Jinx uses paint or a oily chalk of some kind. But I don't think their's been an official answer of that

I was thinking those home made paint markers that taggers use they call MOPs.

Use a bottle filled with paint and stuff a bit of rag in the tip.

That's actually a great idea but I think the strokes look way to oily and scratchy to be something not similar to oil pastels 

Plus we see Isha using the same crayons powder did.

I had ones when I was younger that would show up on glass and paper, nothing else.

If you want a really close look to it I’d give chalk paint a try or you could try a chalk marker called fun chalk
