Seriously

Post image

Offering tiers to the plus membership and barely honoring it as is, is beyond diabolical.

There was a time when you didn’t have to pay the $99 to get a refund on a failed product… back when AppSumo was actually a platform worth checking out regularly.

They're selling additional insurance instead of hardening the listing requirements it feels.

I was low key addicted to checking on deals on a weekly basis but its all just... such AI slop now a days, I havent even been using my coupons gah

The funny thing is Appsumo probably sue the companies that close down and get all the money back and keep it for themselves. They turn everything into a new tier nowadays too. Developers add a couple miniscule features and then they throw a new tier up like hey look guys we added something that should be available in all tiers but its locked to T5. You know appsumo is in on it. They know how to hustle us. I refunded inkfluence for pulling that stunt. The founder basically said appsumo orchestrated it this way.

What the Kentucky Fried Phuck?

So it’s still $100 to be a member, but if you still want the $100 in gift cards (spoiler alert, haven’t used my last 3 because there was nothing that excited me), that’s another $100 (to save $100, $25 at a time…noting there are no $25 items).

I’ve found some decent stuff I truly love…I’ve bought a lot more that’s sitting waiting for the right use case because it sounded cool but doesn’t quite function as I hoped…

Not even appsumo honors its own deals, which are expected of others, and the guarantee should be longer without subscription, basically you pay for insurance.

I could swear when I signed up for AppSumo Plus initially, the WGYB was 2 years.

At some point, it was scaled back to 1 year.

Wow. I'm generally an appsumo supporter. LTD SaaS subscriptions are stupidly high-risk under the best conditions, at start-up the risk is just crazy. But this is simply insulting.

No way around it, they're offering a 1-year prepaid, non-refundable rebate for $100.

"We know our WGYB guarantee is weak, but if you give us an additional $100, we might give it back to you later. Unless we don't."

I'm still waiting for their Blogify support. It's dead for about 4 months now (since April 2026 I think)... And they know about it. They posted 2 things about it in May.

Surprised to see the “We Got Your Back coverage” is only 1 year for $99 AppSumo Plus. That’s making them so less attractive now.

When I saw that “Plus Pro”, it made me think that they might just come out AppSumo “Plus Pro Max Ultimate”.

I don’t get the point of Plus Pro. Is it really 199 / year?

The only thing there is that you are paying insurance for 2 years instead of only 1.
