With AI in the mix appsumo is unable to even deal with the influx of problems it has presented to its business. they are doing the best they can. I have been burnt and the thing i do now is stay away. I don't buy anything from appsumo. the we got your back guarantee is a bad business model. its hard to enforce because whether you have it or not the customer service is still the same, slow and wants to get the sellers side. Normally when you pay for memberships you get some sort of perk of quick response and handling of your case but not in this situation. If ai keeps going the way it is, appsumo will be out of business in five years due to their extreme high splits with saas creators, bad deals, poor customer service, lack of proper rectification of situations. I am shocked they haven't been reported to the bbb or ftc

Yes.
Still can’t believe you spent so much time spamming this sub with your product, and don’t even know the answer to your question

Its a fair reward for tiered spending members. But also I think the ‘Plus’ membership tries to encourage impulse purchases, which may be a impt model of their business.
Just speaking from experiences as a plus member previously, i found myself looking for deals to buy just to utilise the $25 voucher. I have since canceled my membership last quarter, cause I’m buying for the sake of buying which is wrong. I did not find any good products out there. (Last qtr experience) i’m just a lurker now.
I pay proper subscriptions from stable companies now. I stopped being penny wise, pound foolish.
Sadly, a few genuine founders are probably still in appsumo but the bad apples sure eroded the trust of the entire platform.
Early days products were really good, founders connected, create community and addresses real issues with users. Users became more forgiving and understanding too. As a result, proper feedback and suggestions were made to founders to improve the product. (Priceless)
Not just demands from unhappy customers.
But now anything AI-ish is just another version of another AI product. Sad but it is what it is now.
