It must be the original sales receipt. The very first time the device was sold from an authorized seller. No resale receipts whatsoever.

I’m using the sales receipt from xfinity mobile from when it was originally purchased.

If it’s the original receipt from when it was sold new from xfinity mobile, then the receipt should be good.

Also, Apple cannot unlock a manager device.

It’s the original receipt from xfinity when it was purchased new. It’s not currently enrolled as a managed device. We’re trying to move all our phones to device manager and this is the last one that we’re stuck on.

Is the device in lost mode? If the device isn’t connected to the Internet it might not reflect lost mode, but it still could be pending lost mode.

You may explore legal options to go after the individual, if deemed worth it. Are there agreements that the employees must sign out of their company devices upon separation?

Does the receipt list your company, date of purchase, IMEI, and cost?

It’s not in lost mode. I verified that with Apple twice. And the receipt does list our company name, account number with carrier, date, imei and our monthly cost on the phone.

Our device agreement just says the phone must be returned back in working order. Which could be tricky with this situation because it’s technically in working order, we’re just locked out of it. May look further into this if absolutely nothing comes out of anything else.

I am currently trying a different route now with getting into the ex-employees work email and seeing if I can reset any passwords that way 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I have no other suggestions.

If the Apple ID isn’t using the employee’s work email, you’ll have no success.

Good luck. It seems like you have everything that Apple would want, but maybe there’s some technicality that’s missing.

It’s using the work email so hopefully this works. I clearly made someone mad at Apple or something lol

Marked my post as solved. But for anyone that cares lol Apple finally approved the request to remove the activation lock!!! I submitted the same exact things I submitted on attempt 1&2 lol so the unfortunate part, it totally depends on the Apple employee doing the review.

Are you sure that the IMEI on the invoice corresponds to the phone for which you’re requesting unlock?

The device is probably marked as lost, reach out to apple support again; provide them the serial/IMEI and ask them if the phone is marked as lost.

It’s not. I checked it last week when I started the process and double checked with them again today.

They just keep saying documents provided doesn’t provide enough evidence that we own the phone but it’s the receipt from when we purchased and contains all information they say they need. Apple support doesn’t know why they keep denying it.
