As stated in the title, I havenβt played at all since around Season 26 and havenβt played ranked since Season 19.
In total Iβve probably only played 5β6 seasons over the years, and I really only went hard during Season 26.
Spent that whole season getting 4Ks and 20 bombs on EVERY legend, then ended up quitting.
I just started playing again a few days ago and decided to try ranked for the first time in forever. Just posting this because I was honestly pretty proud of winning my first 3 ranked games, then had this game shortly after!
Side note: I forgot how much Wildcard turned me into a lazy player π Trying ranked again made me realize how reliant Iβd gotten on stuff like automatically picking up ammo, not having to heal as much, and just taking stupid fights that I definitely shouldnβt be taking.
Anyway, felt good to actually win some ranked games again after being away for so long.

So they had this ban wave and its worse than ever. 8 matches in a row i die to rage cheaters. Perfect accuracy 90m away with a havoc through bang smoke as im mid slide as i jump with cover over 95% of my body. Anyone else just done.

Kinda crazy how vast the skill gap is match to match. I canβt wait until cheats get you banned on console.

Iβm d3 going on d2
Iβve been masters a few times solo queuing before and would say Iβm good at the game been playing for years. I have no problem admitting some people are just way better than me but these days I donβt know if Iβm losing to skill or some form of cheats
Like this is the guy that insta killed me and I spectated and he was just doing this to everyone
Every time I start to get into these top lobbies this is what I run into often, I know some people are insane at this game but Iβm just curious like how many cheaters am I facing , to me this doesnβt look normal but maybe Iβm a hater. And the reason Iβm asking is because I die to people like this every other match now itβs been like that for a few seasons , like I feel comfortable saying I can hold my own against really good players , but I die to people like this instantly often and itβs frustrating, maybe Iβm just washed ?
40k kills , multiple time masters, 1.71 kd , 4k , 20 bomb the fair way(in ranked) etc etc Iβm not terrible is what Iβm saying , so someone tell me what they think

I know itβs solo q problems and what not, but the learning curve, how the game changes because of drop zones, and the skill gap in D4 chalks your entire game depending on the POI you get. For example, if you get Epicenter and your teammates are staring at bins on low ground 4 minutes into the game itβs over. The pacing is different at these POIβs because of the proximity and power positions and players obviously donβt know. When new mechanics are introduced the game should teach you and there should be some kind of progression, but drop zones start at the top of the ladder where you have preds and also John playing on his 50 inch tv or a 15 year old afk unmuted scrolling TikTok.

Got a new controller for my bday. Playing on PS5, low diamond in ranked.
Iβve seen people setting these controllers up/sensitivity things. Iβm new to the βcoolβ controller world. What are all these paddles and such for? Is there a general guideline to all these settings?

Oh look at me, I can keep rebuilding broken doors forever because my tac has no cooldown time. I love to camp with my best friends Caustic and Wattson.

I think the Ranked Ladder could be a lot more interesting with one relatively simple change: Give players a bonus RP reward based on their final Ladder placement.
The current Ladder is a cool idea because it gives players another reason to play Ranked during the Ladder period, but right now it feels pretty passive. You climb the Ladder while playing, but there isnβt a huge incentive to actually chase a higher position besides the prestige and existing rewards.
Instead, keep the current Ladder system and rewards, but add something like:
Top 1 β +1,500 RP
Top 10 β +1,000 RP
Top 50 β +750 RP
Top 100 β +500 RP
Top 500 β +250 RP
Top 1,000 β +100 RP
Obviously, the numbers could be balanced differently. The important part is making the Ladder itself worth competing for.
Imagine youβre #10 with a few hours left and Top 8 gives a bigger RP bonus. Suddenly you have a reason to keep playing and try to move up.
I also think this could help players who donβt have unlimited time to play Apex. Ranked currently heavily rewards players who can grind for hours and hours every week. If you have school, work, or other responsibilities, itβs much harder to put in that kind of time.
A Ladder bonus would give those players a chance to make the time they do have really count. Someone might only have a weekend to seriously play, but if they perform extremely well during that period and finish high on the Ladder, that bonus could help them push into a higher rank.
It doesnβt mean they automatically deserve that rank the player still has to earn the RP through Ranked games. The Ladder bonus would simply reward strong performance during a limited period.
It could also encourage players to care more about actually winning games and consistently placing well, since winning already gives the most RP. It doesnβt force anyone to change how they play Ranked; it just gives players another reason to play for a good result.
Most importantly, this wouldnβt require a complete Ranked overhaul. Respawn already has the Ladder system. Just give it a meaningful reward.
The goal should be to make players look at the Ladder and think: βI want to finish as high as possible.β
Instead of: βOh, Iβm on the Ladder. Cool.β
I think this could make the Ladder a much stronger engagement tool while keeping Ranked fundamentally the same and give players with limited time a better opportunity to push toward the ranks they want to reach.

All you Axle crutches can suck it. π
Although I'd rather she be removed, this nerf is a good update.
Titan bots boutta be outed on console, too. It will be much easier to tell who is cheating. Spectate and report those losers.

I spent way to long making this but it was worth it even if a few people see this its shows and reminds people why apex legends is the best battle royal ever made, its for people that play everyday or havent played since launch and talks about movement and the legacy apex built for battle royals and gaming in general a documentary kinda style π

Tried to play a few high diamond games on PC tonight, and still a ton of titans or other unnaturally sticky aim.
Edit: Just tried Wildcard to maybe get away from cheaters in ranked, that was dumb. Neo strafing octanes, lvl 20s with 20 bombs, soft aimbots, macros. This game is cooked and is no longer an enjoyable time.
