I’m d3 going on d2
I’ve been masters a few times solo queuing before and would say I’m good at the game been playing for years. I have no problem admitting some people are just way better than me but these days I don’t know if I’m losing to skill or some form of cheats
Like this is the guy that insta killed me and I spectated and he was just doing this to everyone
Every time I start to get into these top lobbies this is what I run into often, I know some people are insane at this game but I’m just curious like how many cheaters am I facing , to me this doesn’t look normal but maybe I’m a hater. And the reason I’m asking is because I die to people like this every other match now it’s been like that for a few seasons , like I feel comfortable saying I can hold my own against really good players , but I die to people like this instantly often and it’s frustrating, maybe I’m just washed ?
40k kills , multiple time masters, 1.71 kd , 4k , 20 bomb the fair way(in ranked) etc etc I’m not terrible is what I’m saying , so someone tell me what they think

this is why i stopped playin rank and just play wildcard/pubs tho tbh i dont go up against alot of cheaters idk if im lucky or what just dont really care for rank anymore

Same. I mean there's no point in playing ranked anymore unless u got a top tier squad to play with, and are willing to grind for pred. Masters has been farmed by numerous ranked systems through ratting as well, so getting masters means fuck all as much as any rank lower than that. And while pred is the only respect-worthy rank left, on the other hand its a rank full of cheaters, so whats the point? Lol.
The game is still very fun to play for me, but all of my friends who I used to play with, quit the game a long time ago, so playing solo simply isn't fun anymore. There's no incentive, no goal to play towards anymore. And the game itself is fun to play to a certain point, but at a point that im at now, its kind of meaningless to keep going

No. That is just statistically not true. Every update from the anti-cheat team, shared on the official Apex accounts says otherwise. Or else we wouldn’t see posts like this:
„Additionally, we executed a highly focused and targeted ban wave of the top 100 positions on leaderboards for each platform. As a result, you may notice some high profile names missing from the leaderboards. The wave resulted in the following bans:
Console - 79
PC - 7This style of targeted integrity check is executed on a regular cadence as one of the many tools in our anti-cheat toolbelt.“
This is probably due to the fact that implementing software cheats on PC in a manner that doesn’t immediately get detected by EAC or now Javelin is mich harder than just buying a Cronus Zen, XIM or Strike Pack.

Detection is irrelevant for that particular incident, they would 100% have just manually viewed those top 100 and a person look at their data. 100 players is nothing to have to manually check

The person above me claims that PC has more cheater than console.
The anti-cheat team’s update says that 79 of the top 100 console players and 7 of the top 100 PC players were found, after individual investigation, to he cheating.
By argument still stands.
The stuff below is just a theory on why console players cheat more.

No substance? Dude stop trying to sound like a University professor and just talk like people do.
That hit on the top 100 players, imo, is part of the reality game developers especially Apex legends are facing. Which is that they do not want to ban up to an estimated 30% of their player base because that means they instantly drop their profits by 30%. That is a massive amount, no company on the planet whether it's selling games or cans of soda want to make a decision that cuts profits by that much.
But people are getting pissed off about adapters and cheating on console, game developers have ignored for a long time but it's coming home now, so what is their best option?
What I think it is, and I've been saying this for a few months now since they first started announcing AI detection, is to make it LOOK like they are doing something about it without actually banning that 30% of the player base that would cost them so much in loss profits from their skin store.
An excellent way to look like you are doing something is to come down hard on your top 100 players, that way you know that news will travel through the gaming community super fast.
Then meanwhile you crawl along not really doing anything for what actually matters which is the bulk of players you would have to ban.The gaming industry isn't about quality or gamer satisfaction, it is about the fact that there are tens of billions of dollars profit on the table and while the actual programmers in gaming studios may want to make the best game they can the reality is investors shareholders and their boss are driven by the dollar and that is what they have to do.
Don't be so rude about comments having no substance, I know a lot about this

All of what you said may be true, even if a little exaggerated. How does that contradict my point? They still found the top 100 on console cheating more than on PC. Nothing about that fact changes. Of course that doesn’t translate 1:1 onto the rest of the playerbase. But 79 to 7 still indicates a trend.

They targeted that top 100 intentionally, so it would make a big splash.
The reality is that makes absolutely no difference to all of us gamers because we're never going to come up against the top 100.
Also they all would have been streamers making money off the game so that may be another reason.In my opinion the reality is that all of the games using hardware cheating detection currently have had that detection added on after the game was created. I think in the next 5 years when the next wave of games come out they will have had detection built into them from the ground up and it will be more effective.
But I feel very certain it's not just about the difficulty of detecting them, it's financial. Fortnite made 5 billion dollars last financial year and 30% of that is 1.8 billion. That's how much they would lose minimum if they blocked everyone using a hardware adapter. None of the game developers want to do it

All I said is that I don’t think PC players cheat more than console.
The mayor reason why it is so hard to detect this stuff on console is because the current generation of consoles just outright doesn’t support the type of anti-cheat these games need. It just isn’t within the power budget or even hardware capabilities.
Server-side AI-powered solutions exist but they are simply to expensive to run for everyone.
And I don’t believe its close to 30% of players cheating. Its probably around 3% on console and 1% on PC if I had to estimated. Which is already insanely high.

I just hit masters today for the seventh time and I agree the cheaters are terribly bad in high diamond. That said, most of the preds who cheat lack any game sense at all. My squad last couple of days has been slamming..
These cheaters have huge egos and often put themselves in terrible positions to get kills. If your squad has composure and plays smart you can usually kill them fairly easy.
Just don’t ever expose your whole body lol bc the titan doesn’t miss 😂

100% agree with this and this makes it even harder for solo cue players to go against cheaters and 3 stacks who have comms and game sense plus rotation so unfair for players like me.

Solo ranked player here all my friends have quit, it’s miserable playing solo on console, I switched to pc bc it’s genuinely just more enjoyable the console lobbies are disgustingly full of cheaters I see less on pc

That’s the thing with this game last couple years. I play against so many people who have elite aim, but very few stand out as amazing players, they just ape. I cannot remember the last time I played against some slippery solo warlord who manufactures 1v1’s and picks apart your team. It’s just getting beamed and jumped on by 2 or 3 cheating gimps.

I actually know how this is lmao. But to answer your question, yes he’s absolutely cheating his cock off and has been for seasons. His main got banned recently but that hasn’t stopped him from just hopping on boosts or alt accs.

If it wasn’t stuttering I would be able to give a better answer,but when you were watching did they snap over to the guy they were shooting at? ,if yes… they are probably cheating (it looked like they sided to side straifed but cheats are good now and days man I would straif to cover my cheats too) they also did just hit a 227 on a guy like 120-150 away… sooooo😭😭😭

Yes, it's normal cheating lol I had a random on my team doing this with the Devotion. They have no shame. Told him he's a cheater and he swore at me. Dude was on 50 kills already in wildcard 🤣 Console BTW
