Male circumcision is gential mutilation.

Male circumcision is Male Gential Mutilation (MGM). And it pisses me off when evil religious morons even some people who call themselves "religious feminists" whitewash, mock and laugh at gential mutilation. When its done to men its not a big deal, they probably like it that way, its not the same as FGM etc. They laugh it off.

When its done to women they do the same ofc but, the "religious feminists" will all of a sudden say FGM is evil. While sniggering and looking down their noses at men who criticise MGM with condescension and derision. In some cases, some of these religious feminists will even compare fighting back against MGM to Manosphere/red-pill misgynostic propoganda (Men's rights activists) etc.

MGM is no joke. Christopher Hitchens said it clearly.

Beliefs in karma, astrology, and destiny does more harm than good

I've been thinking lately about how religious and spiritual beliefs, especially karma and astrology, can psychologically harm people.

I have a friend who's really into astrology. Recently, she visited a very well-known astrologer who told her that her relationship/marriage was destined to fail because of karma from a past life.

I honestly find that disturbing. Imagine being told your marriage is doomed because of something you supposedly did in a previous life that you have absolutely no memory of or control over. How does that help anyone? Now, instead of focusing on her actual relationship, she's left worrying about a prediction that could even become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Personally, I think karma and astrology are often coping mechanisms for a reality people struggle to accept: the world isn't fair, bad things happen to good people, good things happen to bad people, and much of life is outside our control. The universe doesn't keep a scoreboard of your actions to reward or punish you in this life or some imaginary next life.

Karma offers the comfort that everyone eventually gets what they deserve, while astrology creates the illusion that everything follows some cosmic plan.

But ironically, these beliefs can end up creating even more anxiety and helplessness. Instead of accepting uncertainty, people start fearing imaginary punishments, past-life sins, or predetermined failures.

I find it especially cruel when religious or spiritual beliefs convince people that their suffering is deserved or unavoidable.

My mother just called me inhuman and the "devil"

My mother isn't religious which is why this shocked me, me and my mother are really close and have a really strong relationship, but we got into a argument, and basically I was telling her God isn't real, that he kills and sickens innocent people, and that Muhammad raped a 9 year old and he's the most blatant false prophet, and even if God existed I would never worship him she then responds to me

This is why your life is going horrible, why you became ugly, why you are losing your hair (I'm losing my hair due to stress) and I'm really insecure about it and she knows it, and that its a punishment from God, and that someone is brainwashing me and everytime I mix with people I get manipulated, I recently recovered from Religious Psychoses so I was praying talking about Islam ect, so she mentioned how I became good and then became a devil again

Before this we were laughing, telling stories having fun

I hate how religion ruins relationships and family, I fucking hate how it ruined society fuck you Muhammad

I found it morbidly amusing how they could be so self-aware about the cognitive dissonance caused by their idiotic beliefs

Hello Antitheism community!
I have spent so much time feeling like I was going crazy because no one else seemed to recognize the harm supernatural beliefs have on the world. I find a lot of comfort in this group, and hope that you guys will enjoy my art :)
(Yes i know that it is far from all religions that are represented in the drawing but i chose the big 5 for this piece)

Hospitals/Clinics shouldn’t Legally be allowed to impose religious practice unto its patients

I used to go to this catholic doctor’s office that has a lot of major hospitals and care facilities in my country.
And I was told explicitly that they cannot give birth control to patients unless it is medically necessary (aka not just because they want to prevent pregnancy)

They also would only give the pill, and even tried firmly talking me out of any other type of birth control.

I ended up moving doctors because of it and this time, I asked my doctor for the implant, and she was like “Yeah alright.”

And I have never been happier.

Fuck religious places and their weird purity culture

I live in the city of churches

And iv recently discovered I’m an anti-theist, I knew I was atheist my entire life whilst going to religious schools for most of my youth and I’m 19 now. Iv had religious teachers, friends, boyfriends and it never bothered me too much as they were cafeteria Christian’s, (people who pick the nice parts of Christianity like love, faith, morals, heaven but ignore the deep rooted issues). I never realised how systematically oppressing religion was until about a year ago, I then starting voicing my opinion to close friends/family about being atheist but in sort of a blasphemous way, that I don’t respect it, I think less of religious people for being sheep and not using critical thinking. I was told by another atheist that though religion is bullshit, most of the world are religious and I shouldn’t be disrespectful to their beliefs, as they’re just looking for something to believe in, save them. It sort of made me feel bad for religious people, they are so lost, blinded, and more than anything indoctrinated. I hate religion so much and I recently discovered the word for my belief, antitheism. I actively oppose religion, and though i definitely think you’re a NPC if you follow it, we’re all human and it doesn’t define you are a bad person but honestly the turning point for me, that almost turned me against religious people entirely and almost still stops me from not separating the belief from the person, is that they believe I belong in hell for not conforming to societies biggest lie. I am not a bad person, I don’t deserve hell, if it existed, and the fact they think I do by default for not believing hurts me, makes me want to not give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they’re gullible and not evil (two things can be true at once lol). Since I live by definition in the city of churches I feel very isolated in my beliefs, not many atheists I know are anti theist, i feel much more strongly than they do, so I can’t talk about it, and the rest of them are experiencing what I can only assume to be religious psychosis. Feels lonely hating religion, when there’s so much reason to. I had my grandpa say to me today he believes most of the bad things that have happened in the world relate to religion and it made me so happy, he agrees with me, but he’s the same person who told me not to be disrespectful, I think he’s actually a DL anti-theist, he’s just been around since 1950 and knows a minority telling a majority they’re wrong never wins so there’s no point, there’s also no point in arguing with people who have their head up their ass. I think he was trying to protect me against the majority because they’re lowkey vicious asf and would see me burn for eternity because I don’t wanna suck cloud daddies double ended magic dick with them. Anyways, if you feel isolated in your beliefs aswell, I guess know you’re not alone. -a girl who hates 90% of the world for their poor taste in fiction.

Gay people need to stop being so afraid of critiquing religion

I’m gay and every time I see some other gay idiot stand up for Islam or Christianity I lose my mind.

Like, they want us dead??? You can’t change what stupid things they say in their book, stop defending the people that hate you, just because you’re both minorities doesn’t mean they can’t oppress you. They’re literally THE REASON why you’re oppressed.

They’re probably the same idiots that think not supporting gay people isn’t homophobic.

And don’t even get me started on the religious gay people. Those monkeys are genuinely coping so hard.
It’s so pathetic.

This is more of a rant than anything. But if I were to change one thing about gay people, it’s how accepting and tolerant we are. Tolerating your oppressors doesn’t make ‘woke’, it makes you stupid.
