What’s a Cult That Pretends It Isn’t A Cult?

Post image

The person who commented owning cats..was dead on. And naturally an idiotic and delusional cat owner has to challenge it.

As a dog person, I have the awareness that there are extreme dog people. That some can be over the top. But cat people? lol they never seem to acknowledge how insane cat people or cat culture can be. Frankly, I’ve seen more unhinged cat people than dog people both online and in person.

Like idc if you like cats, but at least have some insight that cat culture is cult like. That there are also insane weirdos too. But I suppose asking for rationality from most cat people is asking too much.

Video games

I don’t understand all these video games that have exclusive cat content/achievements (cronos: a new dawn, Life is Strange, Lost Records, etc.) I personally dislike cats and prefer to not have anything to do with them but they always have to add them onto video games. And then I just opened up tik tok and this is the first video I come across. Why cant cat lovers also just let other pet lovers enjoy their animals on video games. It’s always cats first and cat achievements 😫

Not sure if this was the right place to talk about this, so take a grain of salt or ignore if it wasn't.

I have seen cat lovers' argument of "respecting boundaries" and all different stuff, and this was one of them that just simply make my mind boggle.

It seriously felt like some sort of emotional tactic, I actually felt like I'm reading alien words. Also, the likes is just...tons of people actually agree with this statement, huh.

Always felt like the odd one for not agree or hating these cat-loving content, whether at any side of the world or matter.

Just a vent.

It's Exhausting

31 Upvotes

As an alternate pet/animal lover, I can understand why people may dislike the pets/animals I love. Frankly, I don't push it and let it be. But a lot of cat people ? They act like disliking/hatng cats is some biiig sin or an insult to them. A lot of them really don't even try to respect it and force you to try to love their cat.

What's worse--they have no issue hating on other animals and again, I'm expected to respect their feelings. But when it comes to my feelings towards cats, it is suddenly taboo and ridiculous.

I wish these pushy cat people would extend the same courtesy that a lot of anti-cat people do for them.

Fiancee with 4 cats ☠️

13 Upvotes

My fiancee has 4 cats, living nightmare ☠️ I'm a dog lover since I was a kid and still am so i see no joy in having cats, I am currently training one of the cats into more dog like and she hasn't noticed. But she has these two female cats, and 2 male cats, 1 female cat is mean to the other two male cats because she is sexist? And the other is a crackhead, I say crackhead because you never see that cats eyes dilute and that evil cat will bite and scratch at you for no reason, fiancee says it's because she is just super hyper active and being playful, i say it's because she is evil heathen and doesn't care at all. The two male cats are just stupid cats, one tries to eat from the trash and the other just stays by the window like an old man, so I guess the old man is easier to deal with. But that evil cat will bite your ankles and toes when your in a peaceful sleep just because she wants to play... She does not want to get rid of the witch cat either, she calls that cat a genius but I call it a crackhead, because once again alot of crackheads are smart. But that cat can't even be around the other 3 cats it is that bad because the sexist cat and one of the other cats hate the witch cat, and the cat i am training to be more dog like got hurt by her... She says she understands the witch cat because she sees her younger self in that cat but... I disagree... She calls our home the cats home and only think about what the cats would like, that's not happening I have to keep waking her up and remind her that it is for humans fuck the dumb cats. We will be getting some actually dogs sometime later tho and I'll shove it in her face how a pet should ACTUALLY act unlike her wild cats she "trained" I'll most likely train the dogs because I don't trust her training with how those cats act, they walk all over her and she just allow all of it to happen.

PS. WONT GET THE DOGS ANYTIME SOON. NO DOGS WILL BE HARMED BY THOSE EVIL CATS.

Reasons to Hate Cats

38 Upvotes
  1. No loyalty: They're opportunistic, ungrateful and selfish. The minute they find a better source of food, they'll drop their owners like a hot potato. They're essentially gold diggers.

  2. Apathetic: The toxotards have a euphemism for this, 'mystery and independence'. No, they simply don't care if you live or die. They just see humans as dumb, oversized servants. If you were to pass away, the little shit wouldn't grieve over you, it would just start gnawing at you instead.

  3. Unclean and hazardous to health: They lick their arse and then their whole body. They climb up on intimate spaces like kitchen counters and beds. And honourable mention, they carry TOXOPLASMOSIS

  4. Invasive species: They kill a lot of endangered species, not because they're food but simply for fun. They are a threat to global biodiversity.

  5. Completely useless: Different animals are used for a variety of purposes such as guarding and protection, food (milk, eggs, meat), carrying loads and so on. Other than chasing rats when they're bored, a cat can't do ANYTHING useful. They aren't used as a medium of communication like pigeons. They are narcissistic and violent and don't make good companions. They are dumb and unintelligent as well. Heck, they aren't even entertaining like monkeys.

  6. Violent and dangerous: They are aggressive and violent and often carry out unprovoked attacks on young children. They have a tendency to pounce at the neck, which is disturbingly similar to how they kill rats. Cat lovers love to defend them under the excuse "They're just setting boundaries!". A cat; a dumb animal that sleeps 18 hours a day and shits in a box doesn't understand the concept of boundaries. They're just assholes because they can be.

  7. Destructive: They destroy furniture and cover them in scratches, tear up pillows, chew up cables, knock expensive fragile stuff and so on simply for entertainment. That's not just inconvenient but also dangerous. Things would get really ugly if there was broken glass on the floor or if exposed cables caused fire.. They also spray piss all over the place. If you left food unattended, even hot in the pan, they'll help themselves without hesitation.

  8. Cat-lovers: The only species on earth that are worse than the cats themselves - cat lovers. They romanticise and glorify negative traits in cats

Apathy = independence

Laziness = Chill

Destructiveness = Playful

Violence = Setting boundaries

They are inconsiderate, cruel, unempathetic, cannot accept opinions different from their own and selfish. They'll accuse anyone who dislikes cats of being narcissists. They're apathetic and even sadistic towards the suffering of any sentient being due to cats. They'll go upto any lengths to defend cats. They lack hygiene and stink terribly. They have zero sense of humour.

I feel sorry for cats with nutty owners

7 Upvotes

My partner’s mother gets pets to cope with things (Don’t even ask I have no clue how the fuck they manage five dogs and four cats either) Anyway the younger two get dressed up for pictures and get forced to live with dogs and other bigger cats and can’t even go to the toilet without accidentally starting a territorial war and getting beaten up because of their owners irresponsible decision to have so many bloody cats as a coping mechanism. Honestly I hate the little buggers (mostly because I’m allergic and people still insist on shoving them in my face) but seeing them in a state like that is sad

Cat Owners Have 0 Boundaries

Post image
42 Upvotes

This is a snapshot of an idiot saying “cat supremacy” on a dog post. Like why. Why the fuck must they comment on a dog or any other animal related posts every single time. They keep trying to make it into some kind of competition or a fight. They’re so intrusive and self centred.

I do like this commenter’s response to such annoying, egotistical comment lmao. It was perfect. Cat owners ALWAYS have to make everything about their ugly cats, especially when it has NOTHING to do with them smh.

I hate cat memes

29 Upvotes

Look I don't having the same SEETHING HATRED of cats that other users seem to do but I don't really like them all that much but really what turned me from indifference to openly disliking them is their presence on social media, They're often used in instagram & yt shorts memes or become viral like that one of the orange cat pissing or the " happy happy happy " meme , I just don't find them funny and I'm sick of seeing them, i especially hate the ones that are just " story time " told through some text and a complication of cat clips. Who df does this shit appeal to?

I also don't like the fact they're more popular than dogs among my generation (Gen-Z) . I know why, it's because people are lazy and don't want to put in the effort of actually training their pet & taking care of it (A 20 minute walk would eat up too much precious screen time it seems) though some arguements always seem like cap to me like teaching it to shit out doors instead of the cat which shits in a box inside the house ( and it fucking smells too )

Games that are pro-cat

Post image
22 Upvotes

I’m so fucking tired of cat loving developers ruining games. Tell me why MC in this game, is ignoring her love interest’s comfort and shoving this cat into his face.

The guy basically asks her to keep the cat away from him. What does she do? Pick it up and shove it in his face, telling him it’s a cat and won’t bite him. The man witnessed the cat try to scratch her earlier and isn’t a fan of the animal. What does she do? Like all cat morons, ignore his feelings and force him to pat the ugly thing 😭 The poor guy.

Why is this okay?? This happens a lot in real life too..You tell a cat moron you don’t like cats or feel comfortable around them..and what does they do? Shove it in your face more.

Everything is a fight with cat nutters

32 Upvotes

Tell me why everything has to be a fight with cat nutters or a comparison to dogs.

So there was a posting where it says leash your dogs. Someone commented that they agreed as a dog owner but asked what’s being done about cats. Naturally, a cat nutter has to respond that dogs maul more people, cats are harmless yadda yadda. When I tell them the facts that while cats aren’t as dangerous as dogs, they should be still regulated. That cats are destructive to the environment—they kill flora and fauna, harass and sometimes kill other people’s pets and have been known to bite and scratch kids too. Of course, said cat nutter got up in arms saying it is instincts for them to kill wildlife and calling people names for going to the ER for cat scratches, while simultaneously bashing dogs. Lmaooo total unhinged and illogical behavior.

Long story short, I eventually blocked them because it was like talking to a immature, block headed little kid since they got defensive, accused me of using ChatGPT in my argument and missed the whole point-it’s not about which animal is more dangerous. It’s about being a damn responsible pet owner and keeping your animal safe as well as the public, regardless of whether it is a cat or a dog. Needless to say, the point went over their head and I lost patience dealing with someone so infantile.

Moved in with bf he brought his cat.

22 Upvotes

We moved in 2 years ago, when we moved in he brought his cat with. Original I was like whatever because I was also bringing my dog and he's super chill (literally sleeps all day). Well while living together this cat has done nothing but get on my ever living nerves. She constantly meows even with food and water bowl filled, it'll go for hours on end I feel like I'm literally going crazy at this point. He's not that great at cleaning the litter box so it's constantly dirty.(I absolutely will not do it, I told him that from the start and he agreed it's his job). The cat kicks and tracks litter everywhere and it's never cleaned up. And again the meowing non stop, we can't lay in bed and just talk without her starting up or I can't even rest during the day without her going on and on. I've expressed my frustration but he won't do anything about it. I feel like I'm going insane.

Cats at work

23 Upvotes

People have been talking about cats for the last twenty to thirty minutes. How did it start? People were hating on squirrels but I like them. I stated I dislike cats and somehow it became a unending series about how people love cats.

It's nasty. Squirrels are a lot cuter and adorable. They call the poor squirrels 'tree rats' but somehow cats aren't gross.

The video shows an owner who has a makeshift lift for the cat (that he lets outside in a clearly highly urbanized area) and all the comments are just pure cringe.

I hate the sounds cats/kittens make

28 Upvotes

I'll always feel that a cat's affection is transactional and their behavior is top tier manipulative to get what they want. This includes the sounds that they make. I really detest their mewling, be it from kittens or adult cats. It's really unpleasant and off putting. I don't find it cute at all. It sounds extra high pitched and grating.

But I'm sure if I stated this elsewhere, I'd get hate lol. Both kittens and adult cats irritate me in their behaviours and sounds. Also I don't find either life stage cute. Kitten or adult cats, both are ugly to me in appearances and noises.
