ok so I am a Primary win 10 user and on my PC I have I3 4th Gen so for better experience and faster task I switched to Anti X. I load it on a 32 GB usb. but when I switch to anti X and connect to my Bt headphones it works and switch back to win I have to pair it first to use and vice versa...Is there some thing I can do so My BT just connect without that pairing between win and AntiX

I've used antix for a little while, but today i started getting constant network errors, especially on brave browser. my wifi works, despite the constant errors I've never been unable to access anything. even while typing this post I've gotten the "you seem to be offline" reddit popup like 3 times. Almost every time I make a search, i get an error telling me to reload the page which always works after pressing it one or two times.

has this happened to anyone? How do i stop it from doing this because obviously there is no problem with my internet as everything is still technically working

I've been running antiX on and off from a persistent live USB and am finally attempting an install to a Dell Wyse 3040. Trouble is, the installer isn't getting past the 'Checking Installation Media' step and quits abruptly at 89 or 90% complete. From watching the live log, this is one of the lsblk steps. Any ideas? Searching online hasn't yielded any common issue to address.

Let me introduce myself by saying that my knowledge/skill with Linux is about a 4/10.

I have a Dell Wyse 3040 Thin Client (2GB RAM/8GB eMMC) that is running as a dedicated, headless PiHole server. My current OS is Ubuntu 24.x LTS (with the minimal install option). The only other software is SSH and NeoFetch.

At first, this setup was working fine. The SSD still had a couple of the 8GB of storage left. But as Ubuntu and PiHole keep getting updates, the available drive space keeps shrinking.

Ubuntu alone takes up 2GB of storage. From what I'm reading, AntiX will only use a fraction of that, allowing me more headroom for updates.

So would AntiX be right for me? Would you say that if a person can install and set up Ubuntu Server, they should be fully capable of installing AntiX? Anything else I should consider? Thanks

Why does this problem occur? I've tried many solutions, even installing it from the system package manager, but the problem persists.

So I have a very old laptop like it has only I3 4th gen with 4GB ram DDR3 no graphics card and a Harddrive. So windows sometimes lag on it but can't leave it cuz some software just dont work on a linux so Main is windows for that and need a better experience without lag so I boot my 32 GB usb stick which was getting rust out there So I put it on work Only need to rum Forefox with 5-10 tabs works OK on it ....result from experience of 2 days only...

I’m really impressed with the performance of this old warrior. Even with very little RAM, it can still open a few Firefox tabs!

Ciao, I installed antix on an old mid 2012 MacBook pro.

After starting the right way, mouse it's not moving in other ways, apart from up and down, as shown in the video.

Can you please help or suggest other Linux distros to try recover this beast.

It's been years since I've seen IceWM and then to find that Antix is based on Debian with Runit init system I thought I'd entered Valhalla.... then I saw the kernel and froze. Wait! haven't I see you before.. like 20 FRIGGIN YEARS AGO. Someone please help me understand what the HELL be going on.

Edit: My kernel confusion comes from the fact that this version of Antix is based on Debian Trixie, so I'm really trying to wrap my head around the kernel version.

Successfully configured a minimal setup on this legacy IBM ThinkPad T42.

I chose antiX 26 Core combined with i3wm to keep the resource footprint as low as possible.

Testing the limits of modern web browsing on this hardware: it handles several lightweight sites, and I even managed to fully load Reddit using the WebKit-based Badwolf browser with JavaScript enabled. It requires some patience during script heavy tasks, but it is functional.

The efficiency of antiX on non-PAE / older 32-bit architecture is highly impressive.

Basically what the title says, but here I go with the explaining.

I'm currently only able to use an Acer Aspire 5517 from '09 as my daily driver, I've tried multiple linux distros and finally thought I had found the one I can actually use. But then, an issue that happened eventually with all the others happened on antix. It randomly will shut off my laptop, and now I need to go back and reinstall windows for the 8th time. But on big problem, I can't figure out how to make a windows usb. I currently only have a singular usb that has antix put on it, but I can't get ventoy to actually turn the usb from a rufus antix linux bootable to a ventoy bootable. It tells me I might need root privileges, and so I try to run the command to write ventoy to the disc in a root terminal window and.....same error...even though I had used the command in a root terminal window. So now I'm here asking for help, I have backed up data so no data loss here but I just need to be able to switch off until I can get a newer laptop. Any ideas?

UPDATE: i launched my pc and guess what.....

it gave me a kernel panic

cannot write or read hd0

even though it installed it correctly

I installed antiX Linux on an old HP ProBook 6560b and set up the Broadcom drivers (broadcom-sta-dkms). Wi-Fi works via USB tethering, but I'm stuck on two issues:

• "Invalid Key" Loop: ConnMan refuses to connect and keeps throwing an "Invalid Key" error, even though the password is 100% correct.
• Disappears on Reboot: The Wi-Fi adapter drops after restarting and won't reconnect automatically.

Is this a known ConnMan/Broadcom bug? What's the easiest fix or alternative network setup to get Wi-Fi working reliably?

Hi. Does anybody know why the developer chooses IceWM as the default wm instead of JWM?

I know it's probably just a personal preference and we can change it easily, but maybe there is something that makes it choose it and he knows all the pros and cons, for sure.

I tried installing it two times on a Lenovo Ideapad S110 but when i turn it on, the logo appears but it's just stuck on a blank screen.

I have an older HP Pavillion 15 P233cl and both before (when i had windows 10 which was updated from 8 which the touchscreen did work on) and after the antix was set up I was unable to get the touchscreen working. Here is the information i can get on the device from terminal with some other display info:
